The recent "improvements" kill it

Shadeaumarie

I used to really like this game until the most recent update. I'm not sure why the developers think that blasting a video ad with sound you can't turn off after every game is a "user improvement," but since it is now impossible to play quietly in a public place (besides being highly annoying), I will be deleting this one.

Fun game

I enjoy playing this game when I'm stressed out.

Jewel Star and Jewel Star 2

I used to love these apps. I can't stand to play them now. One screen at the end of a game with more apps to choose from was tolerable. Then you had to close two screens all of a sudden. I got sick of it so uninstalled the apps. Tonight I reinstalled them and was rewarded with 3 screens to opt out of before I could go to the next level. I'd rather pay a high price for an app without ads than have to close 3 screens before I can continue playing. Please, please, can't you fix this?!

Great game!

My wife has Jewel Quest on her phone. I looked into it also, but the app is a really big file, so I looked into similar games. Jewel Star is a much smaller file, but also a lot more fun to play. Pros: -4 stone combos make a bomb that'll destroy every stone that touches it (9 stones) -5 stone combos make something that'll shoot a laser straight across the screen and destroy all the stones in that row. -there's a bomb that destroys everything in a cross-fashion when you move it. -you'll get glowing stones. When you combine them with 2 other like colors, it blows up every stone on the board of that color. -at first, I thought I was being timed (timer thing at top of screen), but it's not. I think it has something to do with your score. I don't really care about the score though because I just want to clear the board. So you're not being timed. However, you may run out of possible matches, which will end the game. -Both my wife and I like this better than Jewel Quest. Cons: -after you beat a level, it'll display 3 ads in a row. Just "x" them out and you can get on with the next level. After a while, you get used to them, so they're really no big deal. -the levels don't seem to get all that much harder as you move up. For instance, we're on level 142, and the main difference is that some squares need to be blown twice, or that there are more of those. But otherwise, not much difference (but it's still fun to play anyway). -if you close out the app (swipe it up), you'll have go start over next time you play (no saving games). However, we just keep the app running in the background, and that allows us to continue where we left off last time. -Begins to crash once you get to level 145. Unfortunately, that's when I had to delete it. So if you like Jewel Quest, but want a much smaller app, no loss of graphics, don't want to be timed, and is just as fun (maybe even more so), then I'd definitely suggest getting this app.

Very addictive. No major complaints. The ads are very irritating, especially the loud ones.

Wow!

How Original! You ripped off one if PopCap's games! Quite the original one you are! Consider being creative next time.

Can play this for hours! Great way to take my mind off other things. Update: I would now say the rating on this game is 2 stars! Enough with the ads!!!! I am deleting this game at this point. I enjoyed it until you started adding three ads after each round and included videos which take a couple of minutes to load and then run for a few additional seconds before they can be closed. If this is going to be the way you run this why not offer a pay option with no ads.
