Needs HealthKit and better watch OS integration

tledwar

The workouts and test timers are above average but if the application is not syncing with the HealthKit and activity rings it is only a lesser solution for the gym. In addition, the watchOS support needs to include allowing me to leave the phone behind. I should be able to download my workout and forget the phone. After all, it is why I bought the watch.

Lots of Spam E-Mails

Lambj5

As soon as I signed up with an account on this app, I started getting a lot of health related emails from different companies. I keep unsubscribing but they seem to not stop. I don’t know if these companies work with the makers of this app or my email address was sold. Either way, pretty unhappy.

GUI looks different/Lost Screen Lock

Mr. Sir Dude Man Guy

Hey. So the app continues to improve, which is great. Couple concerns (not necessarily complaints)... 1. My GUI (within the individual exercise screen) looks very different from what I see depicted in both the APP Store and your website. Seems updated. Is this a beta version you’re testing? So far, I do see how you’ve integrated *adding addt’l sets* option into the main exercise screen, and put previous log records into the current weight/rep fields; seems to work out so far. I also like being able to slide to other exercises from the top of the screen w/o extra navigation as before. So is this the new look? Or just a beta version to see how ppl react? 2. Did you take out the “lock screen” button? That button was very useful. It now seems to lock automatically during the rest clock (which it uses to do in the distant past), but I can’t tell if it locks any other time - which the “screen lock” button allowed me to do when it was convenient. (Also, I really like the new clock’s look and ‘swipe down/low profile’ option which allows me to use other parts of the app while still tracking my rest time. I saw immediate benefits with that.)

Great app but behind the times

Dino325

I’ve used this app for years now and continued its use with hopes of health kit integration. Years now have gone by and developers use excuse that they consider health kit their competition and vast amount of users do not want integration. Give me a break!

Looked promising, but...

Dr Why

Bought the Pro App. Liked the ability that add custom exercises and workouts. But have to upgrade to VIP for $36/yr to view progress charts. Really?!

Fantastic!

My Check

It gets better with every update, makes my workout a pure pleasure, thank you!

Won’t work with Apple Watch 3

Mrscwilbanks

I love this app on my iPhone. I just got the Apple Watch and keep getting “Standby...Please navigate the app on your device to the log tracker screen.” Very frustrating!

Doesn’t work on Apple Watch

TuGood

I started using the app on my phone a really like the videos, ease of recording workouts, and full body measurement tracking. I was excited to use with Apple Watch I got for Christmas but it won’t work. Guess I’m going to have to find a new app. Developer: Your response makes no sense. If you go to the exercise tab there is no sync. My Apple Watch reads “go to the log...”.

Great for custom programs

aequintan08

Very intuitive interface and great customization options. Building a custom program is super easy compared to other popular apps. Also great measurement tracking. I love that the body fat calculator is integrated. This has taken the place of 3 apps I’ve been using!

Massive improvements with latest release

TVMaestro

Update 5: I have to finally hand it to the devs. Major improvements with the latest release. The countdown timer is massively improved. Overall just a ton of UI changes. They really put some work into this one. You can see my review history below. I’m a long time used. It’s taken a while but they’ve really bumped the quality of the app up. Update 4: Bugs get fixed, bugs pop back up. You can see that I report a new bug here and the canned response I get from the developer to delete and re-install. And then a few weeks later they acknowledge the bug and release a new update. I added a star back but stand by review below. At least this time it didn't take about 8 months to fix this one (app gets killed in the background while working out). Newest update fixes it. Currently app is working well! Devs, please don't touch it now! Update 3: Well it took about 8 months but they finally fixed one of he bugs I reported to them. However the most recent update includes a NEW bug. Now the app quits almost immediately after you switch apps. So you have to reopen the app, reopen your workout, and reopen your exercise you were on and logging and then tap "continue" to keep your sets you've already logged. So buggy. I can't recommend this app. It will just lead to sadness and frustration. Update 2: have to hand it to the devs. They've finally fixed several of the bugs. The workout timer FINALLY works like it should. It took about a year, not an exaggeration. Now the timer no longer resets when you close and reopen the app. There is still a bug where it will erase your logs if you use a weight with a decimal place and then edit the log. Frustrating. But otherwise it works well. Will continue to use. Almost a 5 star app. Update: it's been almost a year. Still no bug fix for the workout timer. I've had to completely switch over to the stopwatch in iOS. The workout timer is broken. When you switch out of the app it loses track of your time left and resets. It will end early and late. It's completely broken. Please fix it. Also, a new bug, whenever you edit a set that contains a fractional weight like 150.5 lb or something, it immediately turns all the fractional weights to 0. Good luck trying to remember what weights you did. I only continue using this app because I've been using it so long that all my progress is stored here. It really is a second rate app now. Look elsewhere if you're starting fresh. Original review, which will be true again once bugs addressed: This app is a bit difficult to utilize properly at first. It's a bit cumbersome and not extremely intuitive. However it is the best I've used for it progress tracking and record keeping capabilities. It has one fatal flaw and that's the workout timer issue. It is broken and needs to be fixed. Will be a 5 star app when the next bug fix update comes out.
