What a pleasure to be the first to review this outstanding app for this superb jazz station. "The Bay Area's Jazz Station," KCSM is the soundtrack of my days and nights. The programming is straight-ahead jazz, and not even a hint of smooth or fuzak. This is the jazz music app you need to get. Give KCSM a week, and you'll be hooked.

I tried some other radio apps, but many had relatively low bitrate. This app has a couple streams to choose from and sounds good.

Was great, then started crashing

I'm running this app on an ipad 2. It was working great until today. Now every time I start the app it just crashes and closes. When I searched the App Store for this app, it did not show it. I was wondering if it was discontinued, so I did a search online and found the link to it, but no updates, so I'm not sure what has gone wrong with this app.

KCSM obviously has the resources to get top app-writing talent since they are owned by the College of San Mateo (CSM). Their efforts shine in this app making it is one of the best of apps of any genre. Solid. Fast. Reliable. Works great with my LG Bluetooth stereo earbuds. Another great feature is the Playlist detailing artist, title, album. Note however that very late night emcee Bob Parlocha skips the playlist entries but more than makes up for it with his commentary on the artist plus whoever is playing what. His knowledge is vast. His delivery is without grandstanding...just the information punctuated with great personal story
