[DESCRIPTION]

Jasuto is the worlds first (and most powerful) modular synthesizer for the iDevices.

Jasuto allows you to visually construct your own synths/effects, and use them to make sequences all on your device! With the addition of a fully-featured sampler you can now record/resample/edit, and even create entirely new samples by drawing right in the app.

Jasuto uses the relative position of nodes and their connections to control the sound. So the scene not only represents the synthesis structure, but also a custom multi-touch control surface. Motion can be recorded per node giving you rich, flexible automation.

Connections can be created automatically by simply dragging nodes around, or manually. Each wire can be double-tapped to allow even more control of each connection.

Jasuto comes installed with 75+ modules as well as 200+ pre-loaded scenes and samples. Each of the modules have been hand-optimized for your device's CPU, allowing you to create extremely complex scenes.

iOS 12?

Any chance we might see a version compatible with iOS12.. really missing this app. Don’t want any new features just to be able to use it again!

Amazing modular synth updated to 64 bit!
ajp 〰

I never write reviews, but I had express my joy and admiration to the Dev for updating to 64 bit! Jasuto is one of the most powerful modular environments around (FFT analysis and spectral effects) but with an amazing design focused on the fact that this is running on a touchscreen platform. The distance between nodes affects their modulation strength, so you can "play" your scenes - and, even better, with motion recording, those modulations become complex LFOs. No idea if the Dev will have time to add in modern features (Ableton Link, AUv3, etc.), but regardless, this is still amazingly capable after all these years (and with FFT and motion recording more capable than other, more recent, options) and well worth adding to the collection of any audio explorer.

wow 2018 update!!

Thank you baby jesus!!been waiting years for an update fir this awesome app!!!!!

Jasuto Lives!
Drelbs2345

I can't think of a modular iOS app that I've used longer than Jasuto. It's definitely fiddly, but you this thing can do simple synthesis all the way through building a vocoder. Highly recommended, especially if Chris keeps adding to it.

Grin a mile wide : 64bit!
Selectedacre

This update is a wonderful surprise! Thank you for taking the time to ensure this wonderful piece of software can live on for many more years (hopefully). 128-bit isn't going to be required next month, is it? Curious about your cryptic comment : 'priority to what [you] were working on prior to joining Apple'???

It’s baaaaack!!!!

Super powerful app. I’ve Hardly scratched the surface and already creating weird and wild sounds. No need to be a programming genius to git this bugga shimmering. Considering the depth of this thing I will be immersed for some time.

Yay!

yay.

Very little, way too late.

Update: When this synth app was first released it was a marvel. But there it pretty much sat for years and years, falling behind standard technologies, existing in an apparent vacuum, slowly becoming ‘odd man out’. Being ‘only’ designed for AudioBus greatly cripples it’s usefulness. Now that I’ve switched from AUM to apeMatrix there’s no looking back. No IAA, no AUv3, no Ableton Link, etc. It’s a shame as Jasuto had a good PDF manual. I’ll leave it at 3-stars, for now, in hopes that this developer will bring Jasuto into modern times. —— I think I missed the 64-bit update, having deleted Jasuto since it wasn’t working any longer and ‘appeared’ to be no longer supported. I was searching on ‘synth’ looking for anything new and stumbled across Jasuto. I about did a summer-salt downloading it immediately. Jasuto was the first synth app I ever owned. It’s a little disappointing though that Jasuto doesn’t support IAA, Ableton Live, etc., so it sorta is a novelty app for now. It is a cryptic comment by Chris. According to his Jasuto manual He joined Apple in 2008. He’s picking up on something from 11 years ago? Good PDF user manual.

Acid power
Oceans in space

Or angel power. Its all here. The interface is trippy amd usuful. This is a BIG app like no toy at all. Im still learning but its ‘kinda’ like audulus and that is the acid test for now. Cheers.

Great sound tool
Symmachus

I have always been a fan of Jasuto, and it has really evolved into a fantastic sound mulcher and expressive (highly creative) instrument. It is simply one of the best music apps in the store for those who love to tinker with sound. The latest 1.3.0 update is nice for my iPad (works great, no crashes) but, as bioSin noted, it borked on my 2g iPod touch OS 3.1.3 crashing after splash screen. Rebooted Touch and reinstalled Jasuto fresh to no avail.
