Great App!!!

Being able to see how my teenage son's blood sugar readings and the predictions highs and lows is amazing. The iPhone app is so handy for him to use, and the sync allows me to monitor how he's doing throughout the day. The points system is also a great incentive for teenage diabetics. We've already seen an improvement in his blood sugars. Thank you!

Useful App

Tippersnap

Great app for keeping on top of glucose, meds, and carbs.

Not reliable

Syncing w/ my daughter's iphone was unreliable. Worst than no data - inaccurate data. Now the app on her phone is super- glitchy and giving inaccurate info. It's just not safe for my kid to use.

Helpfull app

I am still learning the app, it should help me get my BGL under control.

The best

I've tried many of apps in the Apple Store to achieve better A1c control, but still had many highs and lows, resulting in frustration, lack of confidence, and more inconsistency. This app changed everything. The ability to predict future glucose levels is pretty much the key. The app coaches you, giving feed back whenever bgl is above or below the predicted value, suggesting precise adjustments, allowing the me the ability to make a logical decision on what, or if I need to make an adjustment based on that situation. Any cons if any would be you don't get access to all the feature of the app in the free version for a full evaluation before you buy. The price to buy is kinda high, but I can justify that as the price for good diabetes control without the cost of buying and maintaining a pump regimen. I'd recamend this app to anyone looking to improve A1c. It is the best I've seen so far.

Good Idea, still needs some work.

I've started to mind my diabetes a bit better, so I wanted something to track pre- and post-prandial sugars and remaining insulin on board in order to fine-tune carb to insulting ratios, etc. This app does a great job helping with the record keeping and does the math for you. It even provides some coaching on what you could do different. Here are my pros and cons, and why I only gave it a 3. Pros - App works well on my iPad, with no errors - Input screens are easy to use, providing the options that you need - You are able to fine-tune many of the options to reflect your particular physiology. - Provides information on bolus dosage - great if you are using a pump Cons - Default colors are kind of hard to read, with no option to change - Many of the features in the app are provided via a pass-thru to the web site - If you aren't using a pump, you it will be recommending around 8 or more injections per day - IMHO, some of the recommendations provided by the coach could be trouble if you don't have a good understanding of diabetes and what the meds will be doing. - The app attempts to predict future BGL levels based on carbs and meds. If these were correct, I would have either been in the hospital or dead several times in the past week (multiple predictions of 600+ and 18 or less) In summary, I find the record keeping and dosing useful, and the predictive part useless. Additionally, $9.99 per month (ONLY available in 6-month blocks) to be pretty pricy. If I could have signed up for one month, I might have tried the pro version.

The best of its kind.

Spectacular app. It truly is the best of its kind. It needs some work though. A lot of its features are a pass throughs to the website that is poorly designed. The app crashes regularly, especially if using third party keyboards to input data like notes. Wish the main prediction graph could be scrolled left and right to look at past and future predictions. It would be great to be able to set different active insulin times for different rapid action insulins (I use 2) and also different active insulin times for the same insulin but injecting it either subcutaneous or intramuscular. Being able to add more than 2 bolus insulin would also be a great addition. Some times I use rapid or regular founding of the GI or fat content of the meal. Unfortunately it's not payable to select the second rapid insulin through the app when loggin data, only through the website. Most of the time when clicking the add and save button and when going back and forth through the different screens I have to click the buttons several times until the app responds. Other than that it's an amazing app. Great job ? PS: The monthly fee for the pro version is really high. It should be cheaper and it should be a one-time fee.

Broken...

It was working fine... Then they broke the app.

No Apple Health integration

owndao

It might be a very good app but it cannot share via Apple's Health framework. There is no way that I am going to re-enter all my health data I have recorded in compliant apps. It appears to support several proprietary protocols but that does me absolutely no good.

Awesome
