I am delighted to be the first to review this. Typically I won't get an app unless I can read what OTHERS think of it but in this case I really NEED an app like thise. I suffer from extreme short term memory and am constantly calling home to leave messages to myself on your home answering machine. And then I forget to listen to them - HA. With THIS app though I created an email account named VoiceMail and configured the app to send all recordings to that address. Now I just leave a quick message to myself and when I open my email I see there are messages in my VoiceMail box and I can play and take notes or leave them there until I complete what ever it wss I needed to do. For some reason they do NOT play on my Windows 7 Professional OS but that's fine - they play on my iPhone 4 and that is just dandy. THANKS for an effective tool for any old man !!! razor
It can't be used as a plain recorder because it needs an email setup. That wasn't very clear from the description text. And an enhancement tip: in the settings panel don't have the user read the text on how to configure things in the system preferences, instead have a button to autolaunch the prefs and if possible take him there so he doesn't have to hunt down the right menus and such.
