Not perfect

I just purchased the app yesterday and I am well on my way. I was loving it. Love the ease of use and well everything about it. It would easily get 5 stars but tried to add a couple shows and it didn’t recognize them ☹️ One show just started yesterday. Feel Good The other is Gentefied. That one started about a month ago so this is very disappointing.

It’s working again. For a while there no new shows could be added. I talked to the developer and he fixed it. Thanks!!! I use this app every day.

I love the app, the only issue I find is when I don't have my phone or iPad while watching an episode of a show on my mac or outside and I can't mark as seen, nor can I add a new tv show I discovered right where I'm at, on my Mac or my Apple Watch.

This app is horribly disappointing. It glitches since it’s first days and cannot be depended on. What you mark today will be unchecked tomorrow. Favorite shows will not be favorites after you open the app again. It’s so random. Complete disaster. Their previous iTV shows app was 100% better and I could trust it to remember what I mark and what I don’t mark. Don’t waste your time and spare yourself endless frustration. I doubt they will ever fix this app since it’s been years now and it’s just as bad as it was at the beginning. The only reason I somehow still try and “update” my list is because it is pretty.... ugh

I’ve been using iTV Shows for years, along side Watch Aid (just because Watch Aid supports Apple TV.) This app is superior, has stable, accurate data and integrates with trakt.tv, and has a nice intuitive UI. I wish it had an Apple TV app, too so I could give up on Watch Aid.

Update May 2020: The app has been updated and now the missing show is there! Also the developer responded to my review which I really appreciate. Thanks for this fantastic app and for listening to the reviewers. ? Update April 2020: same as before except the show “Dave” on FX/FXX will not appear in any search. Please fix!!! Also the developer support link isn’t valid. Original review: Love this app. It used to crash on me constantly but that all seems to be resolved now. This app is great for keeping up with your shows and reminding you of when your shows come on. Especially when they return from hiatus or if they've been cancelled. Love this app. Give it a try.

I honestly don’t know how I’d keep track of the dozens of shows I have in my library that are still airing without this app. The new UI is beautiful and the rewrite does seem to be fixing a lot of the issues the older versions had. I’m happy to see that it’s still being worked on and that there seems to be plans for the future. There are still some small issues that I experience that haven’t been fixed in the 6 years I’ve been using the app, like selecting all episodes as watched but it still showing the show as unwatched, randomly things that have been 100% watched will become unmarked and when investigating there will be some random episode in the series that will be unmarked. The pull down to refresh is pretty much unreliable, takes forever and half the time doesn’t seem to be doing anything (This could be an Internet issue but since I experience over WiFi and cellular I assume it’s not)
