I thought these used to be here but that was a long time ago...

Great app

Still a solid app but missing new apple music functions such as Turing on lyrics or seeing the last music part played or apple music. So close but so far away is the PO for this app paying any attention at all?

When it works it's great

The apple TV box has to be restarted frequently because the remote app stops recognizing the apple TV box frequently. When the remote app is connected and recognizes the apple TV box it works very well, just like the Siri remote device that comes with the apple TV box. But during use the remote app always forgets about the apple TV box and then the only way to get it to work is to restart the apple TV box. I'd use it instead of the actual remote if this bug was fixed.

Switching to volumio.

@TheBugMX

I’ve had a dedicated pc for iTunes for my home audio. Every time I try to access it either iTunes had crashed the whole computer or it updated and now I have to re pair remote to iTunes. Time to ditch the computer and go for a raspberry pi with volumio!

This app has been around a very long time. My first download of this app was to use “AirTunes” to control iTunes on my Macs. Back then, all functions were basically identical to now but a feature has been missing for years. I used to be able to control Apple Music/Radio. I used to use Apple Music and Radio to expand my music library. I find it tragic that Apple would have such a push for Apple Music (especially lately) and choose to unload that key feature. My recommendation would be ago ADD control of Apple Music/Radio back to this app. If Apple chose to bring this feature back, it would be just about perfect.

Needs to be reworked.

The app is good.. for music already downloaded. However if you are a user that enjoys the Apple Music app especially for the purpose of discovering new music or playing music that isn’t currently downloaded then this app will be a disappointment. I do enjoy how the app works in the aspect of controlling music remotely from your phone however you only have access to your music already downloaded in your library. That means no searching new music via the remote app and that’s why I gave this only 2 stars.

Wonderful

Launching this app is a painful reminder of how great the music experience was on iPhone before Apple Music. It clearly shows my content in a logical way. Always connects. Really great.

works well, needs support for split screen

Not sure why there are apple apps that don’t support split screen but this one really needs it.

Unreliable Watch app

After Catalina, I waited a long time for the return of Remote support. While it finally works on iPhone, I can’t it to work properly on my watch. It shows my Mac library in the list, but after connecting, nada. I‘ve read all the help files, researched it to no end, removed/re-installed/re-added more times than I can count, with no luck. Feature request: Instead or fixing Remote, it would be even better if the remote functionality with my Mac could be incorporated into the Now Playing watch app – it would save so many steps and be much easier! (Bc honestly, using Remote app to control Mac Music app is really clunky and slow as it is anyway, with so many taps and waiting between taps to get to a simple music control like adjusting volume or skipping to the next track.) It really doesn’t make sense that Watch integration is only right with iOS and not my Mac too.

Inconsistent

This app constantly fluctuates out of use/shuts down.
