Works great

Grimmer0611

I've got an iPhone 5 and this device is awesome. I had the one that plugs into the headphone port until my son ripped it apart just went today and bought the one with the lightning adapter and was blown away! I guess it made a better connection because my stereo sounds great. And it effortlessly allows me to change between pandora and my downloaded music. Only problem I have with new one is phone calls dnt go threw radio anymore. No biggie but I did like the hands free with the old one

Latest iOS8

The device associated with iTrip worked great but after loading iOS8 when I plug in the device I get an error msg saying that the device is not compatible. Update to iTrip needed?

Don't believe the one star reviews

I just bought the transmitter and downloaded the app for my 5C. Everything works great.

Fixed My Issues

I bought this and had trouble finding a clear station on my iPhone 5s, but then I switched my device from LX mode to DX by holding down the up and down tuner buttons on the device and it should switch. After that finding a clear station was much easier.

Works But

ShadowJohn

Brand new out of package the transmitter works but this software doesn't appear to work to control it. I Don't know if its the software or device? The device transmits but i cant change the frequency or turn on stereo so it only works in mono at 87.9 mhz.

Doesn't work

I have always used radio adapters for my car since I don't have an auxiliary port. I have not had major problems before. This device doesn't work for me. I'm going to get in a wreck trying to find stations that work for longer than the length of one song. It's "suggestions" are misleading. This device doesn't seem to override any static and works inconsistently. And you should be able to add songs by album.

I have and iPhone 6 and itrip works great

Demickster

I just got the itrip for my iPhone 6 and it works great! What would make it better would be a way to turn on/off the battery charger. I have an older version of the itrip that I used with my iPod nano, and with it constantly charging it eventually ruined the battery. I don't want to replace my phone battery prematurely and wish it could happen at the touch of a button. all in all it works great and this would make it a perfect device

Doesn't work - iPhone 5

Ape inda trash truck

Could not get it to broadcast on different channels without having to unplug it and start over and even then it wouldn't work 90% of the time. There was bad static also. I never even got out of the Best Buy parking lot before I returned it. Glad I tried it before I gifted it to my wife for Christmas.

Worked great until I upgraded

I used to love this product. It works perfectly with my iPhone 5S, and lasted a'couple months on my iPhone 6 plus. Until one day I random received a notification saying, "product is not compatible with apple device." It'll still charge my iPhone, but won't play any music through my stereo anymore.

Does what it's supposed to.

I have the model that connects to the lightning port. When I plugged in my phone a popup notification prompted me to install the app. The app itself could use a facelift. It hasn't been updated in some time. Perhaps the company is worried about making the app look good enough to tempt people to use it while driving. If so, that's understandable. It does what it advertises it will do. I've programmed in 4 frequencies that work very well in my area. Back to the hardware: I had the model that uses the stereo port, and I gotta tell ya, if you have an iPhone with a lightning port, get the lightning port model. It is a noticeably better sound quality.
