Good idea, needs polish

So a couple of things I immediately noticed. The iMessage app keyboard is broken. You can’t type alternate characters (like “ç”) because the menu disappears when you move your finger to select them. It works if you install the actual iMessage keyboard, but not in the iMessage app. I would really like to have the 3D touch cursor control enabled in the keyboard (firm press turns keyboard area into trackpad to move cursor in text field). I speak english and the person I use this with speaks Portuguese. A lot of her messages to me are mixed language. If she sends me one that starts in English and then ends in Portuguese, then the copied message button performs an english->portuguese translation, which means I get no help from it. It would help to be able to reverse the translation direction so that the part I need translated actually translates.
PA Dutch & German not quite same

Living in PA Dutch country, locals speak "low German", (slang), whereas German's speak "High German". Funny for local PA (German) Dutch TRY to speak to True-German's, or vice-versa. The mutual understanding is so close, yet so far. German citizens laugh. Too, locals- Without this App, I wouldn't be able to keep up...& have lived here all my life.

They should update to make it usable w/o wifi, b/c sometimes wifi is not available in woods n stuff

I am now vary displeased with the app!!! It didn't do well at translating, but ok enough to keep on my phone. It was a free app. I just noticed in my email a recipe from Apple and thought that's strange I haven't purchased anything. So sure enough when I go to look it renewed itself and charge $10.99 without my permission!!! Very very upset!!! I just got a gift from a friend who was in Peru the gift said "one of the wonders of the world" in Spanish, when I typed it into the app just as it appeared on the gift the only thing it translated was "wonderful" I already knew more than that!!! Sorry app... sorry I ever tried it don't get it!!! ? review edited just charged my card again now I'm out $21.98 because of this stupid app that I don't use. Apparently it will automatically charge every two months. I'm calling my bank to dispute the charges evidently the developers have no problem calling many customers li

Too many ads! I used to use this app as my preferred translator but literally after every translation it has an ad. And it not a simply ad either it’s with sound even when you have your iPad on silent. I’ve read other reviews and people are saying the same thing. I’ve also read the response from the developers. Pretty much blamed the customer and called them a liar. No need to respond to call me a liar.
