I have used this app for years. Recently it won’t allow me to play it all back but in segments. I learned yesterday talking to Griffin that the app is going away. I’m sad. This is and has been a perfect app. Griffin, please keep the app.

Former-favorite app

Simple... Elegant... but, the Premium version is no longer available and that makes this my former-favorite app.

Easy to use and share!

I was looking for an app that I could use to conduct interviews in busy coffee shops and bars and this is just the ticket. With this app, all I need to do is tap the “record” button and set the phone down unobtrusively. It will work even when the phone is locked. After everything is recorded, I am easily able to upload it to Google Drive, save it to Files or email it to myself. Five stars!

How to restore premium purchase

XweAponX

I’ve tried every 64 but version of this app, they all have IAP disabled. I purchased premium 6 years ago, I should be able to activate it. However if you have purchased premium at any time in the past and you have made a back up of your device while this app was installed in premium state, you can do this: Simply restore that back up to your device and make sure that your apps get transferred over. When the app is restored it will be in the exact same state that it was when the back up was made, including any recording’s that were in the app at the time. I just tested this out and it works. There is another way though, you can modify your device and install “apps manager” by Tigisoftware.com. At that point you will be able to make a back up of this app or any other app that they have pulled this nonsense with, save the apps back up file onto your PC, then copy it back into your device, Store it in your files app, move it to local storage, and then open it up with Apps Manager. It will then restore the back up that you created at which point you will be able to restore the app to the same state in which it was right before you created the back up. Pretty much the same as doing a full device back up, except that you don’t have to restore every other app too. The other way to get any use out of this app is to hack your iPhone so that you can get into the file system and move your recording’s out directly, because no interface within the app allows you to do this, now that Apple took The App Store out of iTunes so you can’t sync it that way. Unless you use the last version of iTunes that has app syncing. I paid about six dollars to be able to use premium, I want my money back. Also, when I sent them email about the lack of being able to restore premium features, they gave me a big runaround BS story that “iTalk doesn’t work with iOS 11”, but it does, beautifully. But you would think that they would mention the fact that they had this utility that I could use, no they didn’t tell me anything about it. Which makes my opinion of this company less than zero, and they used to be so helpful when I first started using this product. Maybe they were bought out by somebody who doesn’t care about this product or the many people who purchased the premium version. Because whether there is an a iTalk Sync app or not, we paid for the premium version and that’s what we want.

Crashes,. Few options

e^(ipi)=-1

Easy to use interface, but took some time to figure out how to transfer files to my computer. No options to fwd, rwd, and change speed of playback. Mostly importantly it crashed twice during recordings and I do not see those files listed in the app on my tablet, and although I see the crashed files when transferring them to my laptop, I'm unable to play them back... As if they are corrupted.

Great Recorder

I wish I could find out how to upgrade. They inform you about the value, but there is simply no easy way to go to the premium level.

It’s confusing...

It’s a great app and all, but to get any actual use out of it, you have to upgrade. Good luck. You can record high quality audio. That’s great, but I honestly don’t know if it surpasses the audio quality of the iOS Memo app. Even so, I’m inclined to believe it’s better quality, and I don’t know of any actual reason other than “I want to believe”. I’ve used this app for years, and I don’t know why. The only way to transfer audio to any place other than your phone is by email (there’s also the option of doing a sync with iTunes, but let’s be serious, that’s just a pain for many reasons, especially since iCloud backups are a thing now). If your file is too large (over a minute or so), then you aren’t allowed to email it u less you upgrade the app. I’d be totally happy to pay a few dollars to upgrade, but I can’t even figure out how! Either by selecting to upgrade through a prompt or by selecting the “unlock” option in the menu, you are brought to a screen that tells you all of the reasons you should upgrade, YET DOESN’T PROVIDE THE OPTION TO DO SO. Maybe I’m an idiot, but after searching the App Store, Google, and even searching through every corner of the app, I cannot find any actual option to obtain the upgrade. It seems to me that the Unlock screen should have a big button on the bottom that allows you to do the upgrade. I can’t find a way to do it, and without the upgrade, this app is only useful for insanely short recordings, and leaves you with no reason to use it unless you want to sync your phone to you computer every time you record anything useful.
