Great App

Crunchy Guero

Has worked great for my practicum. Helps keep me organized and produces the info. I need at my fingertips. Great start.

The only app out there that can do what it does.

I'm a massage therapist and I needed a way to schedule my clients and track payments and such. It is a good scheduler and does allow you to see how many sessions you've had with clients, if you've completed the notes for that session and how much they paid. It is lacking a few things though. When you are scheduling the time, you have to slide the buttons just right and it's hard to get to any non-hourly time (ie 8:15 or 8:30). Also, I would LOVE to see a simple addition of a chart or page that shows how much money you've earned in a month (or year) and also shows, how much money a client has given to you over a certain period of time. Just those two things alone would make this much more functional. Also, it's a little thing, but maybe adding a payment line that doesn't have to do with co-pay or insurance. Anyway, definetly worth the money. You should get this.

So far big waste of money

Doesn't save anything. Once I enter information I can't go back to original screen. Only option is dismiss key. Needs to be fixed because I don't want 300 clients in my address book. I want to be able to type in their info. So, so far I can't use it for anything. Waste of $10. 

Please keep working on it

I bought this to track my psychotherapy client practice in the absence of any other iPhone apps that could benefit me for on-the-run data input. Specifically for mental health practitioners I would echo the earlier post- what's with the slider bar for time? That's super annoying! We also need to remain mindful in this digital world that client privacy & confidentiality is severly compromised when clients must be added to a personal contact list , which may not always be password protected. Who actually uses a password for their entireiphone? I see no way to encrypt this data in google sync or password protect your client data. Because this program is advertised for use by people who may be bound by HIIPA, you really should develop a more integrative, secure way to maintain client data. I like the session notes; on the fly ideas to translate to DAP and treatment plans. I like that you dabbled into rebursement fields; I'd like to see a client database where I can securely store name, address, phone, insurance and reason for referral as well as the ability to customize your fields. If you were to make this really attractive and developed the confidentiality component, you may strike a gold mine!

Very awkward...

First off, the slider bar for the time is clumsy and aggravating. Second, it is so difficult to make changes to future appointments. Once you make a mistake and accidentally set it for a number of future events, the easiest way to correct your mistake is to uninstall and reinstall. Otherwise you have to manually delete each event every week. I am a private music teacher who just wanted to use this to keep track of students and payments, and I find it more annoying than useful. The awkwardness of the program is the biggest annoyance. If this was a much simpler interface, it would easily get 4-5 stars since there are barely any scheduling apps out there for this price.

Already the best in this niche, but needs some work

DrDanH

This is already the best scheduler for the unique demands of psychologists and other mental health professionals- admittly a specialized niche- but it has some bugs that need to be fixed. 1. No functionality in landscape mode (?), and when you return to portrait mode the buttons are off the bottom of the screen. Restart fixes it. 2. The Session Detail function seems to have been lost. Overall, a good app with great potential.

Nice App!

Almost exactly what I have been looking for! Love the ability to add new sessions and notes without losing the old ones. Syncing with Google is great, even tho since I sync from another appt calendar to google, and then down to this one, I am getting double appts on Google when this one syncs up. Still happy with it overall, would love to be able to have a selection wheel with different session types (services) instead of typing them in the notes each time. The app crashes some, not a whole lot and I haven't noticed a pattern yet. I love what it does well and will keep using it!

Could be better

Ms Dolphin

1) I schedule a client for 3:30- 4:30 and another from 4:45- 5:45 the 2nd session disappears WHY? there is no conflict. 2) I do not like the slide feature to set the time (such a pain). I want to see the appointment schedule in 5 minute increments as on my Palm scheduler. 3) I don't like that I have to add my clients to my contacts just to get them to show up. Very disappointing

Nice Update

DocFreud

I have been using this application to schedule psychotherapy appointments. I have liked the ability to track payments as well as the search function which allows to search for a specific appointment. This new version seems to address some of the earlier concerns such as using a slide bar to set times as well as the option to cancel all repeating appointments in a series or just the individual appointment. I agree that the confidentiality of the contacts list is a concern, but confidentiality and HIPPA (as well as the various Codes of Ethics) is always been difficult to maneuver. No matter what type of scheduling tool there are risks. I find it more protective and easier to set a password for my IPod touch than keeping confidential a handwritten planner that I know many psychotherapists use.

No individual payment tracking

The description is misleading. I don't see any advantage over just using iCal synchronized with Google Calendar.
