IReal Pro is probably the iPhone/iPad app I use more than any other. As a music practice tool, it’s just fantastic. Creating playlists, setting different tempos, changing key signatures — all very easily done. I’m a saxophone player, and I practice every day, often switching horns in the middle of practice. So transposing for different instruments (e.g. Bb to Eb) is pretty important; this app makes it easy. I’ve been a Band in a Box user for many years, but iReal Pro is a much easier product to use.

I was turned on to this App by a music professor at a state university and I was blown away with all the features it offers for musicians to hone their craft, at their own pace and time. I was also recently impressed by their awesome level of prompt support. This App is a gem at your fingertips!

Well I suppose the bread and butter of this app would be chord input . after inputting 50+ bars I found it difficult to navigate to the end of the page .. the cursor(next button) gets locked at the end of the page/line and does not move forward !

I edited the song but it doesn’t reflect my edits when I tap “done” it. I saved them so when I edit they show my edit but they don’t play my edit. This app is confusing.

This app is easy, the customer support is amazing, and the forums are the best! I loved this app from the start, but now that I know Jimmy Bruno was this app I’m a fan for life!

Simply THE must have practice tool for the iPhone. In the forums you can download thousands of tunes, and practice with crowd sourced (and therefore relatively reliable) chord changes. Absolutely essential.
