When I play the videos there are no audio at all. Just lip movements. Is this how it is supposed to be?
A "play all" function would be a very nice addition to this app, along with a "shuffle all" function. Streamlined listening could improve the learning experience of this app's userbase.
If you put in the other affricates & add diacritic descripitions, this app would be perfect.
I saw a suggestion that the matching game have settings to only do phonemes from specific languages. I think that’d be excellent. I would go further and make settings to only use certain columns and rows; this would make it easier to begin memorizing for beginners like me. If well executed I would pay for an in app purchase for this functionality. Super thorough app! Especially for being free!
I deleted this app within one minute of trying to use it. I had to power off my phone to get it off of my screen. It would not respond to any touch or command. Then once I re-powered it, I was able to delete it.
When clicking the phonetic characters, the video shows as a splash frame and then closed without further notice. Expected: the video pop up showcasing how to pronounce this character. Great app.
I have used this app a lot, but the video recently stopped working. This seems to be the same problem that JLHwang describes in an earlier review. I have an iPad with iOS 11. Deleting and reinstalling didn’t solve the problem.
The truth is, there is no better IPA reference ap on the App Store. Get it and proceed to have all of your needs fulfilled! 10/10
