• Often you see the Wi-Fi, 3G, 4G or LTE sign on your device, but you don't know whether your connection really works. The app will display you all the information you need to know.
Features:
• Check whether you are connected to the Internet or not.
• Check the connection type: Wi-Fi, mobile Internet or no connection.
• Check the speed of your connection. The current speed is constantly updated.
• No user interaction needed. The app checks everything automatically. As soon as your connection type changes, the app will recognize it and immediately display the new informations.
Total waste of money. Shows a green screen indicating you are connected to Internet but does nothing to indicate how or at what speed. All you see is s green screen. If I wasn't connected I would know immediately. Don't need a green screen to tell me!
The app thinks I'm connected to the internet even though I am not signed into the Wifi but just connected to it. I would like a refund.
Lets you know which signal it’s connected to and the speed. WiFi automatically takes priority over cellular (again, would be nice if there could be a WiFi-Cellular-Auto switch) but it’s a significant improvement. This will be very helpful when I want to test to see if our WiFi is acting up. Great work, developers!
Edit - new version works great. I have a pretty flakey internet connection at home. I was hoping this little app would be able to give me a realtime indication of whether or not my internet connection was up. The actual reading seems to be delayed from reality. The AirPort utility will report the connection is up long before this one does. If a refresh button could be added that would force the app to check again, this might be very useful. I'm not sure how it is determining internet availability but maybe some kind of setting that would allow for different mechanisms would be useful as well.
