Move on

Pubius

Nice idea, flakey execution. Randomly switches cameras, turns the light on and off, stops streaming. Too erratic and unreliable for serious use.

Feature request: mirror image in browser

Pfarrelle

I just downloaded this app and am very impressed with the minimalist nature of the app and the good video quality and minimal latency. Low latency is very important for my "camera backup" application where the app runs on an iPhone looking out the back window of my Airstream trailer that is connected, via a local network, to an iPad running safari in the truck cab. I couldn't see a way to contact with you directly, so I am using this review to also make a feature request. It would be awesome if I could flip the image horizontally so that I see a mirrored view in the browser. That way the camera image would be consistent with the other images I already have in my truck mirrors. Thanks, Paul

Feature request: pinch to zoom

WebMaster305

This app works fine if you just want to stream a 1X size video but there's no pinch to zoom function which I really needed. Please add zoom and I will happily change review to 5 stars! Also, username and password security for the stream could be very useful as well. Thanks

Amazing, simple

I had a babysitter emergency & needed to keep an eye on my kids while on a work call in our detached garage home office. I searched around & this seemed like the thing I needed. Here's how easy it is: you download the app. You open it, which is a camera view. A URL pops up, you type it into your bowser. BOOM, streaming video. For 3 hours it never cut out or paused, just continuous, free live stream. I never review apps but this one is amazing. There are other bells & whistles (record etc) & I muted the sound so I cant speak to sound quality, but it was perfect for my needs.

Good but read this

Vincent_25

The app is great it works flawlessly and smooth 30 FPS at 1080p, however a few days after downloading the app I received an email with an AppStore receipt saying this app costed $2.00 and billed me for it without warning me. I’m not really complaining because it works perfectly but they didn’t warn me about the late bill. Even though it was unexpected I still think it is a great app.

Poor video quality, crashes

fullcatastophe

The transmitted video quality is a pale imitation of how good the sensor in the iPhone actually is, showing low resolution, tons of noise, and heavy compression artifacts even on the high quality setting. What makes it totally worthless however is that it crashes frequently, which is the total opposite of what you'd want a remote monitoring camera to do. The stream is also transported via a proprietary JavaScript library, you cannot read the stream from other apps such as vlc media player.

Worthless

So if this app works for you, congratulations. I’m sure it’s awesome. After installing the app - you know, the one that just works - I opened the app to a message of “No WiFi Connection”, which is curious since I was clearly connected to WiFi. This app that “requires no setup” is so confident of that that there is no Settings, no Help, no FAQ - no way to resolve the issue. Yes, I tried a different WiFi network. I was even going to download it to my iPad, except that an apparently identical version is “iPad only” and for that they want another $1.99. Pass. Fool me once... Would like my $1.99 and 2 hours of attempted troubleshooting back. Will settle for the $1.99.
