Great App

Great mapping program. Use it other to route trips. Gives you the ability to add stops along the way and choose routes.

Best trip planning App yet

River chosen

I've been looking for a Trip Planning App like this for a while. Best since MS Maps and Trips. Just needs more work on Points of interest. Best trip planning app that I’ve seen on the App Store.

I have been searching for an easier, more intuitive way to plan waypoint mapping for motorcycling. I tried this app x 1 and thought it was incredibly easy to use and export .gpx files.

BAD APP FOR TRUCKERS/RVers

Used an app 4 years ago when we were traveling back east & learned there are a lot of low bridges. Couldn’t find that same app again, so bought this one as our 5th wheel is 13 ft. 1 in. tall. This app took us on crazy routes, wanted us to take a “parkway” (warning, low bridges) in Maryland & took us under the Potomac River, which had a sensor to detect over height vehicles 13’6”). In reality, it took us off I-95, under the Potomac, tried to get us on a parkway, then back onto I-95. We could have just stayed on I-95. Then through NYC on the Interstate, it was telling us to take the wrong Washington Bridge (upper vs. lower) than the signs were directing truck traffic. We followed the signs & stopped using this horrible app. It is very user UNFRIENDLY to boot. Don’t waste your $$ on this.

Very useful App

We have used InRoute for the last 3 years consistently, we have travelled Europe, North, central and South America and has always proven reliable. It helps me plan routes for months in advance, distance, climate, altitude it’s all there. for us it has proven to be an excellent tool to plan our trips, highly recommended to use the upgraded version. Bon voyage to all you travelers.

Useful, easy to use, full featured

I use this to plan a variety of trips. Waypoints can be added, deleted and resorted to explore route options and see travel times. Being able to see temperature and wind predictions for the route helps plan my motorcycle trips. As they've made this app compatible with both iPads and iPhones it's easy to plan a route on the large screen of the iPad and then sync to the iPhone for route guidance which you can either use another app for or use their in-app voice guided navigation. This app is well thought out and they keep making improvements. I highly recommend it. My only complaint is with the in-app navigation. When using the app the map rotates awkwardly and once out of cell range the map disappears and you’re left with the route and a line grid. There needs to be a feature to download maps for off-line use.

Easy to use!

InRoute - Very useful for motorcyclist

This is the only app I've found thus far that allows me to very explicitly select the waypoints I want to visit and/or routes I want to take that really sticks to them. It doesn't try to get me there the most efficient way, it gets me there the way I told it I wanted to go. I like the 'twisty's'. I like to stay off the highways and InRoute let's me do all that. I've used to it map routes for a group and shared that route with my friends using .gpx format and it's worked flawlessly. I admit that I really like a Mac version so I can map my routes on the computer, but that's a minor niggle.

Few fixes

Would be nice if you could pout an option for pin sizes since the new update with larger pins it covers the map up with my previous pins. Also it loads really slow going to and from completing a route and turn by turn other than that it’s been great app. Like it even more since you can insert pin in the middle of the route

STOP!! Look no further!

This is the navigator app you are looking for. I always looking for the back road when making bike trips. This is it, by far, hands down, no contest the one that delivers. I have deleted and cancelled the rest. I friend had OnStar when leaving West Ky after the eclipse. It kept directing us into traffic, I opened In Route and took over. He cancelled his On Star and downloaded the app. And that’s one of many. It’s the real deal!!
