The original system used from 1950 to 1962 is cross referenced to the county and what that county code is in the 2nd system.
The 2nd system used from 1963 to 2007 is cross referenced to the county and what that county code is in the original system.
Within each county there might be several BMV Branches and the specific branch was identified with the 1963 and newer plates by the letter after the county code. Those branch designations are in the app also.

If you are looking for county codes it is ok. There is an mistake with county code 95 and 96. 95 was reserved for military, but sometime around 1991 the BMV included them with general issue for Marion County. 96 has always been a Lake County code along with 45 and 94. To make the app better, include a picture of all Indiana license plates.
