Too much garbage on a once-stellar app

A once-stellar app has devolved into a blockages mess of forced ads and cherry-picked movies. We aren’t sheep. We are people very capable of making our own choices if provided the opportunity. This app used to be chock-full of great, easy-to-find and easy-to-read information on all things movie/TV/Hollywood industry. Not any longer. That information has been buried under an avalanche of lousy ads that cannot be switched off, poor site navigation, and other useless “suggestions.” Allow is to think for ourselves. Judging from the “most critical” reviews here, I am not alone in my thinking. The preference is to go back to the app you once were before greed took over. If enough of your users leave the site/delete the app, your precious ad dollars will dwindle accordingly. Do the math.

The initials stand for Independent Movie Data Base. However, that actually isn’t the case since it is now owned by Amazon. To be fair, viewing options really should include Netflix. I have used this app for years. Some improvements have been great, others not so.

This is a great source for all kinds of information on TV shows movies streaming channels. It is my first stop when I read about a recommended show to watch.

When I tap on a movie or subject it doesn't bring me to the subject. I have to browse to find the movie or topic. This is very frustrating. I am considering not receiving notifications because of this. I love the streaming service and all that it offers but can do without the frustration of the notifications.
