Acts Like a Virus in iPad Air II...

Tad Binkley

Quite a powerful app, in a way. Merely launching iFGtr kills all sound output from device instantly. Mandatory restart required to reset sound output to normal. This is one glitch that needs to be corrected like NOW. When your app infects an Apple user's world, there is no grace period. We turn from nerds into caveman-nerds pretty quick like.

Piano slash want to be guitar

Eddyhaze44

Looks like a unfinished app that started with a great idea but never took off, really not much different sounds here, the guitar sound they have sounds like a piano trying to sound like a guitar, yes sliding your finger up and down is cool but this app is no more worth than a buck

Nice interface, sound could be improved

Neumuzik

I started out using the iFretless Bass app and was impressed with the well-thought out interface and relative ease in creating convincing baselines very quickly and easily. Since iFretless Guitar shares the same interface, many of the same pluses apply. The biggest drawback is that the guitar sounds are not entirely convincing compared to Apple’s GarageBand guitar and the Steel Guitar app (by Yonac), which is far superior in terms of providing realistic guitar simulation that is quite pro sounding. I’d love for this developer to work on adding the ability to pick chords and strum to iFretless Guitar. It’s a wonderful app that would benefit from a little more engineering and sound tweaking.

Expressive, Beautiful & Soulful

SantoorFlute

Wow ! Sounds are so expressive and soothing. I have lot of guitar patches for animoog, thumbjam and lot of others but nothing compares to expressive style of this one. Amazing !!!

Sweet!

While other apps stagnate, the iFretless apps just keep growing and getting better. Very nice sounds and music are just a download away. While it is certainly capable, I don't see myself using this like a guitar too much, but an instrument of it's own unique and delicious flavor. It is very adept at evolving drones, for example (try sliding your fingers up and down independently on two or three strings). Special effects, yes, and great for hammer-on/pull-off arpeggios. This one is going to stay on my iPad, without a doubt.

Yeah, you should get it, if...

Kareembyear1year

If you are looking for an expressive playable software guitar. iFretless bass is my favorite of this collection and I use the bass app for clean guitar parts due to it’s flexibility. This app is still great and you can run it through other amps and efx besides the ones that came with the app. The quality of this collection of apps is such that one should get the entire collection. With some practice, very good and convincing music can be made!??

It’s a Midi Controller With Touch Sensitivity!!!

JB5056

I already loved this app before I new it could control other apps and allow touch sensitivity when playing those apps. This app and the other iFretless apps are the only apps currently on an iPad that offer touch sensitivity when using the touch screen. All other synths require an external controller to access touch sensitivity. If you want to have this feature without having to hook your iPad to an external controller then this is the app you need.

Not AU

If you use AU, this is not for you.

Can the recordings be longer than 30 seconds

Jennie the Jesus-lover

It’s pretty I love the Strats and being able to slide and vibrato and bend notes but the recordings are only 30 seconds long and would be cools if they could be limitless in length.
