7 of the same level just variable difficulty each with more bullets fired by the enemy? Great concept though

Great game. Smooth play and nice visuals. But an update with some new levels, enemies, anything would help this game from getting monotonous once you beat all the levels.

This is a very well-executed update of the arcade classic, 1942. The graphics, music and gameplay are pretty much flawless. The only quibble I have is that the Japanese ships aren't named, although history buffs can figure them out, and you never get to go up against the mighty flagship, the Yamato. While there are in-app purchases, you can play perfectly enjoyably without paying, although unlocking the best planes will take a lot of doing unless you pay. I highly recommend this!

I wish there was a way to restart the mission if you don't have any continues without going all the way back to the main menu. Fantastic game, brings me back to the 80s with a childhood favorite, 1942.
Is there a pc version?
