Events have ruined game

They’ve ruined the game with events. Events are basically the only way to get legendary cards, epic cards, alternate outfits, and gold. Unfortunately, they’ve made events to where IDLE play is no longer an option. Ironic that IDLE Frontier can’t be played by its namesake. You have to sit and be active or you won’t really make it past town 3 of 15 on events. They don’t provide enough beans to play idle, and they don’t provide enough cards to hire managers. You have to be active to do anything for events. I don’t have 36 hours in a 48 hr period to waste on this game, it’s IDLE Frontier! The entire point is to be able to grow while away as well. They had mid week events before that were MUCH easier and provided pies to help with the main campaign. Now I have to sit for 2-3 weeks on a single town (I’m on lv 56) to complete all of the missions because I can’t upgrade cards for lack of pie. I have over 100 cards for every common character but the next upgrade only requires 30... I am waiting on over 100,000 pies to upgrade people... they’re removing any free aspect to the game and slowly trying to force purchases... expensive purchases. Shameful way to kill a fun thing... months of play and now this. :(

Can't rely on auto-save

I opened the game today and did a few things and then tried to let the game idle in the background for a few minutes while I did other things in my phone. To my surprise, the game refreshed when I switched back to it (reloading the main area and then I'd have to reload the event area as well), and I discovered it had not saved any of my progressfor those 10 minutes or so in the event. It didn't even save the fact that I had watched 6 ads to increase the x2 timer duration on my farm, so I'd have to rewatch the ads if I want that back. It did unfortunately save that I had already opened my free loot crates (but I don't think it saved the contents from them - not sure), so I can't open those again for another 4 hours. Looking in my settings now, I can see it tells me when my last cloud save was, so before I minimized it again (to write this review) I made sure to tap that icon to do a manual save. But it's really stupid that the game now requires manual saves.

Yeah, so I like the game and stuff, but I don’t know how to equip banners from completing events, and after looking around for a while, I still couldn’t find any options for this. Maybe I am just missing it, but they give you these banners and I would think that it would be possible to equip the banners even after the even ends

Why is it taking days to get past level 29?

I’ve seen other reviewers say they deleted and reinstalled so that they can complete all the level tasks but why is that necessary?

Mediocre game. Won’t give you the free gold when you complete offers.

This game is okay. It’s a good way to pass some time, my 4 year old loves to play it. The special events are impossible to move up on because you never have enough beans or upgrade cards. I was trying to avoid paying money for gold so I did a couple of tasks to earn some free gold. One task (worth 2560 gold) was completed and despite having screenshots of confirmation the company keeps refusing to give me the free gold and won’t tell me why other than a generic message. Complete scam. I’m letting my son finish the current event and then I’m deleting the game and I won’t ever play a game from this developer again.

In the middle of playing the game just closes down I even did the update and still having issues also I don’t like at all that I can’t use my manager without updating in the events and it’s almost impossible to get all the necessary cards or beans to update

The main game is great, but events are not idle after about level 2 or 3. So unless you have a TON of time on your hands, playing the events is pointless as everything has to be tapped manually. You don’t get enough cards to upgrade managers for them to be automated. Updated review - I downloaded the game again to see if it got better - it is now even worse. Not only are they not responding to anyone’s concerns, they apparently deleted the mid-week event which was actually fun. Avoid this game at all costs. There are better idle games out there.

The enjoyment of this game is that it runs even when you aren’t actively clicking. The events are a little more difficult to keep managed but that adds to the fun for me because I can play as much as I want to in the event and still win pies and cards for use in the main game!

Wasted hundreds on this game!!!!!!

Do not get this game!!!!! Wish I could give it negative stars!!!!! I have spent too much money on the event trying to level up characters and it’s impossible!!!!!! It’s a waste of money and time because the game doesn’t allow for you to be able to level up the characters as you move up!!!!
