It isn't all that bad if you played Red,Blue, or Yellow. It only has the first 151. It isn't bad, but it could become more of a challenge if maybe Pokémon from other regions could be in it too. Maybe Johto, Hoenn, or even Sinnoh. Possibly Unova or Kalos, but who knows.
