Does everything I could ask for.

Handles my large home with two hubs and dozens of bulbs and wall switches with aplomb. Allows me to set up my switches exactly the way I wanted: press once for room on/off, press and hold for zone on/off (where zone is like Upstairs, Downstairs, Master Suite, etc). Highly highly recommend this app!

Doesn't consistently work

This app is a mess. After setting up several motion sensors throughout the house and not being super impressed with the limitation of rules that Hue offers from its own app (especially as it relates to the motion sensor), I found that many people had luck with this app. Excitedly I downloaded the app, connected it to my bridge and set out making the rules for all of my rooms and motion sensors. I've quickly discovered that this app does not consistently apply the rules I've set for the motion sensors in the house. For example, I have a motion sensor downstairs that I have set to turn on the entry lights and the stars landing throughout the day on different brightness settings, depending on the time of day, set to automatically turn off after 2 minutes of not sensing motion. I also have it set to only work if the group is turned off (so as to not override something that we've manually set for the moment). What ultimately ends up happening every time is that all the lights will start in the off position, the motion sensor will sense motion and trigger the lights, and then these lights will get stuck in that setting until I manually turn them off. The same thing happens upstairs. I've woken up every morning to my lights turned on for no reason at all from the motion sensor, and I have to manually turn them off. Really frustrating. I'm wondering if the rules I set up in this app are getting confused or not overriding the existing rules I had set up in the Hue app, and something is throwing it off. I'm going to have to remove all my motion sensors from the hue app and start from scratch adding back the rules in this app to test and prove my hypothesis. Fingers crossed that it works, but until then, consider me a disappointed customer.

Best hue app easily

Love it. Love everything about it. Surprised philips hasn’t bought you guys out by now as it’s amazing how well iconnect hue works compared to philips app. I’d explain why, but if you’re reading this just know I’ve tried maybe half a dozen of the most highly rated hue apps on the AppStore and this is the best. Hands down. No seriously it’s better so don’t waste your time with others and since it costs like $50 for a color hue bulb, it’s most definitely worth buying this and all of the in app purchases (maybe like $15-20?? For all) again specific price not relevant due to quality of what you get. Seriously, I paid for all of the additional features, even those I knew I wouldn’t use simply because I want to contribute to the iConnectHue and ensure they never stop supporting this app. Ok. So now to the development team. I have one feature request/question (ok two requests) 1. Is it/could it be possible to allow users to create templates for switches and motion detectors? My switches will sometimes disconnect from the bridge for no apparent reason, requiring reset and re-detection in iConnectHue which results in loss the custom profile I use for each dimmer switch. This requires me to re-create the template and it would be great if I could create baseline switch profile that I can apply to new or reset switches. 2. Longer timer. Last I checked the timer maxes out at like 2-3 hours or so. I’d like to have a longer timer for those days that I need to create a one time “light alarm” that I don’t want to recur. For example, my lights typically turn on at 7:30 am, but I need to get up 6:00 tomorrow to get ready for an early meeting or whatever. Rather than creating a new alarm, or altering the alarm I’ve created, I’d prefer to just set a 7 hour alarm before bed just for tomorrow. Thanks

New feature for the music or whatever doesn’t work what so ever. Tried the full 60 second “demo” and my lights didn’t change at all.

Longtime user - keeps getting better!

Been using this for over a year, and it is continuously improving. Great job, iConnectHue!

everything the philips app wishes it was

don’t focus on the cost - focus on the functionality and support. i’ve had this since rev1. i love it. the interface is awesome, the updates are done regularly and done well, the control of groups and individual lights is fantastic. this is one of the rare apps that i’d give 6 stars if i could. i particularly like the timers and control over them. i have timers that give me sunset colors in the house times to sunset, then fade to deep blue that fades out helping prompt bedtime. buy this. you will love it.

Updated: Looks good

After working with app I must say that this is really the best done app for Hue. It really has all the functionality and I do support the developers (I did buy it). That being said, I still think basic functionaly (scenes, animations) could have more options without IAP. But best app overall for Hue. Work of art on design/functionality. —————- App is really done very well but basic functionality is limited. You have 1/6 of scenes/animations and you have to buy everyting else as well editing ability etc... so count for 15$ more for full functionality. I feel huedynamic has a lot more bang for buck. 20$ with IAP is too much asking price. But it’s beautiful app. Just add more basic functionality. Or more items in sigle IAP.

Simple & Extensive; Multiple Hubs

Iceman Bencke

This is my primary app for my Hue ecosystem; over 50 lights, dozen switches & sensors, and 2 hubs. My Hues co-exist with Z-Wave lights and devices on Wink, but I still prefer to switch over to iConnect for better control of my Hues—more precise control, more responsive, and straight forward user interface. The Add-Ons are well worth the small price. After $20-50 for each light, a few dollars for a great app feature doesn’t really need any thought.

The BEST!!

Spaceball__1

This is hands down the best and most comprehensive hue app. I have tried several others on the app store and none are quite this intuitive. I highly recommend this. Only wish is that they create a desktop version that I can use with my mackbook.

The Best Primary Hue App

I've tried 12 different Hue apps now, including the official one from Philips, and this app is, by far, the best one to serve as your primary Hue light manager (replacing the official, and any others). A Hue must-have.
