You may need this...Seriously

Docinla

I’m not sure if there’s a lot of hard science to support this as a performance enhancer, but if you’re an endurance athlete pushing it out to zone 5 (Vo2 max) or any serious athlete in general working on the front end or in the middle of the power/duration curve, this puppy definitely throws data at you. It may surprise you: I had thought my performance in those areas was limited by muscle O2: it turns out that muscle o2 drops in the mid-range only with an RPE of 10+++ otherwise the rate limiter seems to be “breathing” as I slide further out on the curve: that is, I had to push way harder than I thought to have muscle crap out in the front end. Thus this has a a lot of use for mid range sports like basketball soccer I think, and endurance athletes seeking to move their power/duration curve to the right. Haven’t been able to drop my recurs abdominis O2 with a “jury rigged” abdominal strap doing crunches but that seems related to muscle fatigue higher up on the curve and mostly that my abds are crappy If you are serious about this stuff, I think this is absolutely worth a try even though coach says there’s little hard (published) science to support it Four stars cuz the App has occasionally been buggy — but they’re all over it if you contact them . It’s still worth a try if you want to put in 110% on the front end of the PD curve

Major advances on the mobile app

The new version of the mobile app is really awesome. A lot of new analytics updates to provide really great insights on how your effort level, workout optimization, and fatigue!!

Great update!!

Love the new app with the Humon score and workout comparison. Major update which makes the product a must have for cyclists.

Useful - but some quirks

I find this app great for managing effort on endurance rides and understanding my power threshold. Because I use it with my Garmin, I must upload activities manually, which is a chore. Then, when I load the mobile app, it doesn’t refresh for an eternity. It does not seem to support the pull down to refresh convention, either.
