HUDWAY Cast app lets you manage basic smartphone functions behind the wheel in a quick, less-distracting way. It offers direct access to navigation, calls, messages, and music through its smart, driving-purposed interface. It’s designed to keep you focused on what really matters — on the road ahead.
Navigation:
Enter your destination or search for a POI — HUDWAY will create the best route to commute and give you turn-by-turn directions. The live 3D view of the road is easy to grasp, and you won’t get lost even at the most complicated junctions. And you won’t need Internet for that — the app will download offline maps for you to drive offline — globally!
Calls:
Keep your eyes on the road when receiving an incoming call — and use a swipe to accept or dismiss it. Add contacts to favorites and call them with one tap.
Music:
Connect your Spotify account or music library — and manage tracks with quick swipes and taps. You can also listen to hundreds of radio stations from all over the world (please note that you’ll need Internet for streaming online audio).

Spent 2 hours trying to set it up. No AirPlay icon on any map app, as an x-navdy user (when it worked) not impressed!
Doesn’t see my Hudway HUD

The whole point of this app is to connect to the HUD. I turned off my phone, played with WiFi settings and connections, turned off the HUD. Nothing works, the app doesn’t recognize the Hudway HUD, so both are useless... hope this gets fixed or that will be a huge waste of money
Cast app doesn’t recognize that HUDWAY is connected

Just got my HUDWAY Cast the other day and it won’t acknowledge that I have the cast connected. So when trying to operate the external HUD mode it won’t recognize that my phone is connected and I’m not able to play music through my car speakers
Great HUD with some limitations

This is one of the best HUDs that work with the iOS but it has some limitations making the experience somewhat disappointing. When casting to the HUDWAYCast the iOS will not be able to send sound through Bluetooth to your car stereo. This limitation takes away the music player built-in the application as you cannot hear the music on your car stereo but only on the small speaker built-in the HUDWAYCast. When using the HUDWAYCast as an standalone works great but you cannot enjoy the stereo sound while using HUDWAYCast. Other limitations include the lack of stability while using the airplay that will stop suddenly without reason. They should have included a direct HDMI connection for iOS just as they did for android. Overall has potential and I hope they work out the current issues to give us the full HUD experience.

Not a whole lot works on the app. Cannot listen to blue tooth phone songs while using the app. The navigation is a joke. Wished I did not believe the advertising. They are blaming Apple and are not taking responsibility for what they claimed would work. Why do they have music and phone on the app when you cannot use it????
The Cast doesn’t work with iOS 11 and up

02/07/2019 Update: the recent update has allowed me to cast to the HUDWAY while still connected to my car. Great direction, now to work out having it always connect. It connects maybe 25% of the time. 11/19/2018 Update: Still doesn’t work. 11/12/2018 Update: So with the new update that supposedly fixes the issue. I can say that nothing has changed. It still doesn’t stay connected. So it’s pointless to have an app meant for device that doesn’t work. You can connect your phone to it and it’ll disconnect 30 secs later. The creator says it’s apples fault. If that’s the case then don’t sell it saying it supports apple. I was told to get an android device to use the app and HUDWAY Cast.

This latest update is a substantial improvement, and finally makes this device usable in my opinion. Losing the screen mirroring is much easier on my battery and is also less unstable. Also I notice the app now allows me to stream my Bluetooth audio to my stereo again. Connection stability is still imperfect, however, and screen refresh is slow. Still, big leap forward.
