App doesn’t fit screen on iPhoneXs

The difficulty is after you take a picture of a receipt and tag it — the “submit” button is in the top right and 90% not viewable. While you can ultimately click it, it’s not obvious and it’s clearly an issue that needs to be resolved for basic usage. I hope you all will fix this as it’s been frustrating me for almost a year now.

Almost a minimal viable app. But not.

July 27 2020 update: A few updates later and none of the bugs are fixed. Still basically unusable. This all still applies: Where to start? The app does almost nothing. You can upload photos. That’s it. Where is the scanner function like iOS Files or Scannable or how about even an Upload files option???? Ok, we’ll how about fixing the terrible UI??? The Camera button overlaps the Tags tab. If the user opens any menu item the header of the page disappears and only comes back if you force-quit the app. This is very low hanging fruit that Hubdoc/Xero need to fix. Here’s a quick hint: users don’t want half baked Apps. They want the same functionality as they do when on a desktop. This is especially so when capturing invoices, receipts, etc. on the go. This app fails miserably at that. The user can’t even crop the excess from around pictures of their documents. The app is cxxp.

Needs improvement
Imnotclumsy

Their web service is good, this app however, needs refinement in a major way. It's slow and often times unresponsive. This app has the chance to be a major compliment to the web service. It just isn't yet.

Great service/not so great app

Needs a lot of reworking, resolution is off, very slow and a bit of a chore to use

App works ok ... with simple to fix bugs
DrDCuddy

I have been using hubdoc for about 5 months to upload invoices from deliveries at my restaurant to share with my bookkeeper. The appears working ok, if a little buggy. Around the release of ios11,the appstipped working entirely, then with an update it was functional but has caused me to logout Everytime I close it, meaning I need to retrieve my password from 1password everytime I want to use it. This seems like a very easy fix and I know from speaking with their support team that they are aware of the problem. It seems odd that this could be broken for so long without a fix. I am looking at other options for my business as is my bookkeeper for all of their clients.

Update Please
IF Chicago

Love the idea of having this on my phone and the ease of uploading receipts in real-time. All my employees have it on their phones. Can you please update and offer a “Remember Me” feature or thumb print authentication?!?!?!? It’s so frustrating to have to copy and paste or look up our very complicated password. Thanks, Your fan and subscriber

Worthless.

Most documents viewed show only gibberish. No discernible order to docs shown and no easy method to sort or filter them. Boooo.

Disappointing

The app is almost useless. I have to do everything via email and the desktop version. It’s glitches out, and it’s very difficult to go through and tag expenses as you have to view the receipt, then go back. When you go back, it scrolls all the way back to the top, losing your place in the app. It would be nice if the app had the same functionality as the desktop version and someone put time into refining the UI/UX to be more useful (Like say, Expensify).

Needs more

I don’t like that it’s hard to switch between clients. I also don’t like that we see ALL THE DOCUMENTS instead of just the ones to be reviewed. It makes it more cumbersome than necessary. You can’t do squat with this app other than take a picture.

Love the service, app needs work

I use Hubdoc for my bookkeeping business, and it works great for retrieving invoices and statements and organizing receipts. However, the app is basically only good for uploading receipts. My receipts aren’t organized in folders like on the site, and I would love to be able to review receipts and push them to Quickbooks from the app.
