✔ Launch from safari. To launch HTML Viewer from safari:
1) Add a bookmark (Name and URL does not matter)
2) Edit the bookmark and change the url to javascript:window.location='source://'+location.href
3) Click the bookmark when you would like to view the source of a page.
If the safari page is dynamic or requires cookies, the source will be different because third party apps can't access Safari's cookie jar. To get around this you can navigate a URL using HTML Viewer in preview mode.
As a web design student this is a real cool app to have on my iPhone. Now I can see the code to learn "how did they do that" so I develop rich and intuiative web sites that look amazing on idevices. Thanks
"Yipster" has it wrong - this does render pages! That's what the globe icon to the right of the URL bar does! The text "Select" box does appear on the HTML code, but you cannot successfully pull the ends of the selection to be what you want. If you could I would boost my rating to 4 stars.
Great app but fix the selection stuff. Also WHY is this rated 17+? WHHHHYYYYYY?!?!?
I'm not sure what this dev is doing wrong, but apps aren't supposed to fluke and lag this much on brand-new hardware. I'm actually fearful of letting this app run in the background. Frankly, this developer should receive some kind of Razzie-ish award for figuring out a way to break the normally-flawless ‘Select All » Copy’ iOS functionality.
So simple, but useful all the time. Thanks for developing it.
Use it to make my web apps! Download iFile from Weblin, and this and ur good!
