The app has a very pleasing aesthetic. It is easy to use and the recipes are generally basic. I wish they offered more complex recipes, but it is the best sushi app out there nonetheless.

I love sushi I have eaten it all my life, even as a child. but for what I'm paying for it for quality sushi I think my boyfriend and I can make it at home especially since he is a high end chef. But my cooking skills are not amazing. This is a great easy app to show you step by step and picture by picture ,to walk you through the process . I wish it had more free recipes but to start off they offer a lot. I would also recommend saying what kind of grade of fish one should be using to eat raw fish and where are some good locations to find these groceries. also sauces are key to my sushi with eel and spicy tuna. Also maybe how to make your own wasabi . Maybe videos from chefs. Able to share recipes with other app users.

Good Basic Recipe App

If you are looking to get started making Sushi this a good place to start. The pictures are clear. The app is uncluttered with extras. There are enough recipes to keep you busy learning different techniques. One style or type I feel is missing is Oshizushi / Pressed sushi. This is a block-shaped piece formed using a wooden mold, called an oshibako. It is a very pretty presentation when done right. But all in all not a bad app. 4 stars.
