Rentals are absolutely “unwatchable” and they dont let you download rentals to watch later, just purely streaming which renders very poor-quality playbacks. The non-rentals you can download up to ten and watch later even without internet connection which was great. I was seriously going for the paid subscription after their 45-day free trial, which is what im currently on. But I’m now considering Netflix.
Picture slower to show when watched using WIFI ... mostly just black screen and voices, had to open and close app repeatedly. Watching a 42 minute movie takes 1,5 hours. Good movie collection.
please fix the subtitle error. i turned on the subtitle but it only appears for few seconds. i had to turn it off and on again for the subtitle to appears again (i cant keep doing this every 20 seconds). fix this asap.

I got really excited with your Martin Nievera interview with your HOOQ CEO female owner/developer Sheila Paul!!! She is rocking the stream video world!!! I said finally a Philippine version of Netflix but geared to Filipino taste. I am quite happy with my TFC.TV in the states but once in a while I want to watch movies & tv shows not made by ABS CBN. I also have Amazon Prime video, Netflix, and Hulu. Maybe I can finally ditch some of these, I said to myself! But Alas - no USA connection - buh humbug! Please, please, please have a USA in the near future!!! Just imagine all the FIL-AM markets that will subscribe to you!!! Thank you for your time.
App auto logout and cannot login again. No menu change device logon. Very poor app in the world. Last time I got free subscribtion. I found movie in this app poor resolution.
I have option to watch live tv cable on my android smartphone but here on ipad I can’t find that option, why is that?
• Can’t track the progress of the things I watch properly • Awful user interface • Have to contact support to sign out of other devices (which is limited to 5 and device counter reset is also limited to 5(?) times per year) • Can’t download [EVEN] in 720p (with highest download quality enabled in Settings) HOOQ is not fit to be a streaming service. The one of many things it must be good at (progress tracking of watched shows) is broken. Yes, their management may have signed a deal with big production companies such as ABC Studios, but their app is trash. They don’t even bother fixing its ANNOYING bugs. For the past year the only things they updated is the app’s icon & some UI/cosmetic changes, ignoring the main bugs and the app’s counterintuitiveness they should've fixed by now.
