Great app

YuiMaster

This app is really great but it has one issue. It plays videos automatically in the VR mode no matter what are they. And this is really confusing for sites which consist of video ads of preview. I want for use to have an option to choose manually which video to play in VR mode or not by clicking, not auto-detecting.

add desktop version browser

Lukester419

this app is great but I wish that the web browser would request the desktop version of the websites instead of the mobile sites. this would allow you to watch Netflix because you cab only watch it on the desktop version and not the mobile version. otherwise this app is great

Gaming

Courtneycat47909

Every GOSH DANG TIME i go into this app I get videos and when I bought the headset it didn’t come with the little hand things and I didn’t know how bad this was until now, so yeah no gaming and I just wanna play some beat saber so I want my money back

Needs Updating...

Crashes Doesn’t Work any longer

Update please

This app was fantastic a couple of years back. Now when browsing the internet the app constantly crashes, or won’t play videos. 3 years since the last update? I think it’s time.

Junk

Keeps playing an ad every two seconds then crashes.

No Update in 3 years! Crashes

Aide s'il vous plaît. The app crashes on new versions of iOS. Other reviewers say the same. Please update. The app crashes 100% when stopping one movie, and starting another via browser. 100% - is surely a big to be fixed.

Imported VR video display issues

I’ve been testing out a lot of VR video viewing apps on the App Store recently and I have to say this one is pretty good with minimal quality loss and pretty alright handling regarding menu navigation (except for times when the central cursor decides to move around elsewhere on the UI despite you not even moving your head). The browser seems to work fine and is a pretty nice yet common addition to any VR viewer. Sure there’s a lot of YT VR players and a lot of camera roll VR ‘emulators’ but there’s not many that have all these features in one package. The major problem with this app is that the video player doesn’t actually work with videos designed for VR (from my experience) that have been imported from iTunes. I’ve downloaded several VR hiking POVs on my device to test it out and it seems that Homido doesn’t have a video player setting that emulates “180’/360’ half left, half right (3D HSBS)”, meaning you won’t be able to properly view imported VR mp4s on your device. Without that setting you’ll see ‘half left, half left’ directly in front of you and turning 180 degrees will allow you to finally see ‘half right, half right’. You can only watch one side of the video at a time and it’s a real headache to work with since there’s no current settings that can fix this. Im guessing that the integrated video player was only meant to give 2D videos in your camera roll a pseudo 3D effect instead being able to play imported VR creations properly (which is odd since it IS a VR viewing app). Although having a few cursor issues, the app itself is a nifty thing to have for watching online-based VR videos or 2D clips from your camera roll, but it will NOT let you properly watch imported VR videos which you will need another app to do for you.

Web browser is terrible

SpeculativeCheese

The web browser is useless because it can’t stop a single pop-up window. As a player, it works just fine.

One problem

Traavv

I love this app. Just one problem. I like to stream movies online. When I'm watching a movie in widescreen format, when the phone is vertical, the picture is perfectly normal. But when I turn the phone sideways, both when sbs is on and off, the picture is stretched out. There's no way to adjust it.
