This iPad app is a must-have for anyone throwing their own Derby Party. This attractive app allows party guests to place mock wagers (win only) on the horses, track odds in real time, and see hypothetical payoffs.

It is designed to be very easy to use, so anyone throwing a Derby party will be able to take wagers and keep their guests up to date on current house odds. Just add wagers one at a time as guests give them to you, and keep the iPad in a central location, or connect it to a monitor or TV to make it look like a real tote board.
You can customize the screen by adding your own party name to the top of the tote board, and by uploading a picture or other image.
The app was designed with the Derby in mind, but you can use it on any race. After each race, just hit the reset button to clear out all the wagers and start over. This attractive app would also work on other types of racing such as NASCAR (up to 20 racers)
This app does win bets only. Future versions will include Exacta and Trifecta.

Very disappointed - Cannot do real bet types

Just bought this app but it cannot do the real wager types like win, place, show and across the board, trifecta etcetera. Would not buy this again and will try to get my money back... Going back to "Backyard Bookie" 10 bucks poorer...

I like the simplicity. I would like to be able to insert more than one race though. Multiple race entries would get 5 stars.

This app does win wagers nicely. It is attractive and intuitive. Don't expect it to do exactas and trifectas (which it does not claim to do) and you will be delighted. It's fun.

This app has potential... It would be great to have some kind of automatic data entry, and it would be nice to have payouts for place and show. Lower wagers would be okay, too (my family usually bets 25 cents a horse...). This would have been great fun at a big Kentucky Derby party... But the win/place/show/trifecta option would be a great improvement.

Yes, it doesn't do multiple races and different betting types… it's meant for one person doing one race for their Derby Party! And it does that quite well. Good job!

Its a perfect app for a single race, derby, nascar, indy 500, etc, where you allow guests to wager on a winner. Just did a sim of it and it works great! However, only 20 slots means you are limited to what you can put in, even the derby will have more than 20 entrants. So if every horse gets one bet, you are going to be unable to use this app without some math on your own. Doing other bets is a good idea too, but you will either need a ton of guests, or guests who are willing to drop a lot of money. Otherwise your money pool wont be large enough.
