This app is near perfection

Mynameisted

It improves upon Apple’s Home app in almost every way. The UI elements make it unclear to me how to change the icon for a scene. Also it would be better if it showed TVs and speakers but this may be an Apple limitation.

Not Worth the Money

Pio Diaz

App is a lousy alternative to Apple’s Home app. Interface is clumsy, outdated, sliders to control lights and AC are not even intuitive. Swapping the icons is a nice idea but not worth the money.

Exhaustive implementation of the HK Api

Robacarp

The UI is a bit complicated. It has gotten so much better, but it’s still a bit rough in places. My big ask would be for the automations to be sortable by activation time. Right now they seem to be random, even attempting to name them didn’t change the sorting. I’ve had problems with features of the HK api which aren’t implemented in the Home app getting lost by the TV when it reboots. Specifically the conditional arguments of a scheduled automation — don’t do X unless Y.

Hey Why don’t my Apple TV’s show in accessories.

KeyFunk4U

I was jumping through all kind of hoops trying to figure out why my Apple TV 4’s don’t appear as accessories in this app like they do in the “Home” app version. Quite disappointing when it does pick up all my lights and both my thermostats with no problem. Finally I started Googling the subject to see if I could get any answers and after reading a little I’m just finding out that this App is Not from Apple but from another developer who was forced by Apple to change the name of his App to “Home+” in order to clear up any confusion between the two. But I purchased it a while back thinking it was a upgraded Apple “Home” app. I was even going to call Apple tech support to find out what the problem was. Glad I googled first. As for the non connectivity of my Apple TV’s to this App, I guess Apple has put some limitations on outside developer apps.

Doesn’t support TV and more

Pay a lot of money to get unsupportive devices... can’t put devices in group.. wake up, dudes!!!

Beautiful design

Inertjade

I am able to automate turning on porch light at sunset but I am not able to have it turned off at sunrise. All I can do is to have it turn off after X hours. Just wondering if I am missing something

This is the best homekit app hands down

Jeremy2487

Update: I also wish this app wouldn’t create scenes for every automation. The apple home app doesn’t do this and it really gets spammy. Old review: Other reviews cover all the great parts of this app. I have one request: I wish we could organize our automations into folders or groups. When you do a lot it can be hard to keep track. Possibly use a ‘/‘ in the name to add folders ? ? Example: home/livingroom/lights/goodmorning would show as ? home ? livingroom ? lights ⚙️ goodmorning

Don't buy unless you have some programming skills

Creativere

App is useless to me, I don't have the programming skills to add or edit the plugins required to use features i need. I asked Apple for a refund and they denied it saying not eligablefor a refund. I can't use the app so was a waste of money. Since Apple won't allow a refund of the purchase that I requested the next day when I figiured out I would not be able to use it, I decided I would just cancel my Apple Music subscription and go with Amazon Music. Atleast I feel better about it, no offense to the developer but I think you should be able to request a refund a few days after purchasing an app if it's not useable for you.

Great HomeKit App - a few suggestions

Eckelberry

I love this app. I have about 65 smart devices if you include all the lightbulbs in addition to the plugs and motion sensors. I’m all homekit. This has completely replaced my home app on my phone and iPad. I have a few suggestions to make this perfect (in my use case). -Allow me to put select group tiles on the main screen. I have plenty of fixtures that use multiple bulbs, so right now I have to go in and select each bulb in the fixture and change the properties for each bulb manually, ugg. I realize there’s a groups tab but there should, IMO, be at least the ability to see groups in line with my rooms. -Most importantly: let me pick the colors! There’s no “recent colors” pallet with what I’ve just used for other lights. There’s only a handful of poorly tuned colors that look truly awful on hue, LIFX, and any light strips I’ve thrown them at. I see the color selector but why is there no way to save my favorite colors? Good job to the dev on this app and also for charging a one time fee in 2020. If it supports future development I would be glad to pay again to see how innovative this app can get. ??
