Dawn of Prosperity- surprisingly good

This rather reminds me of the Surface series - mad scientist, experiment gone wrong, who is really the villain etc etc. collecting globes, map is a little confusing but overall it's not a bad game. Buy and enjoy

I've waited so long for a new Hidden Expedition game to come out and it does not disappoint! Great story line, excellent graphics and all the 'usual' features of a good hidden object game. Can't wait to see the next one!

Great fun!

Terrific Game, Very Polished and Proffessional

Only 4 stars because you cannot customize the Hint and Skip buttons. I loved playing this game. Many creative HOPs and Puzzles. Interesting plot, beautiful graphics. Eipix is now my favorite developer. Please, let the user customize the settings. This feature is as important as interactive maps and Hint button.

Good game but not very long

Not worth 3.99, even sale prices are too high now for these games. Other than that, good graphics, story, and minigames.

A breath of fresh air

So many Big Fish games have a storyline like this - someone mysteriously vanishes in the late 1800s, you investigate in your role as "supernatural detective," and the cause is inevitably a demonic spirit. I happen to enjoy horror games, although most of these games are far from actually scary. But it is tiresome to see the same era, characters and plot depicted repeatedly. Hidden Expedition nicely avoids all of these trite features. It takes place in the modern day, focuses on science and technology, and instead of looking for a lost soul, you are trying to save the planet. The game is executed beautifully. Even the map is a work of art. There are some new puzzle formats, although also some throwbacks. One unique offering is the collectible fact cards, which explain scientific principles in fascinating but accessible terms. I don't typically enjoy having to search for random collectibles, but these actually provided value. I do have a few criticisms, including the somewhat short length of the game and the clicking accuracy of item and activity selection. The medium difficulty option was too easy; several times there were sparkles or other unwanted hints that gave me too much information, and I wish that difficulty had been configurable. However, the negatives are far overshadowed by the positive distinctions of this game. Strongly recommend.

Great game!

Great mind game and excellent graphics and puzzles. Love this adventure and it is not a dark game which is soo much better!

Fails to live up to its predecessors

A real review by a real person

This game wasn't bad but it certainly wasn't great and good seems like a stretch. Unfortunately, as we have seen before, the quality of a great, successful series declines significantly over time. I don't know if the developers lose their love for a game, or game development (and you can clearly see and feel when a game has been made by someone who loves and truly cares about it, and about what they do, it comes through in every aspect of the game they produce) or, more likely perhaps, that they are under increased pressure, contractual, financial etc... to push out sequels quickly. This game was clearly nowhere near the caliber of former games in this series (Smithsonian comes to mind) and I am beginning to lose faith in some reviewers as I see them constantly and consistently giving glowing, often 5 star reviews, to games which are anything but.

Great Game

Finally a game that takes place in the present and not the past. Love it
