Upsetting, I was so in love

This app was great but now that it updated yesterday to hibooks it’s not connecting and now I can’t even log in. I was really excited because I listen to about 2 books a week on my commute to work.

Loved OTTO RADIO

JMM<3

I loved Otto Radio for my podcasts and was considering getting a monthly membership to listen to the audiobooks too. I was SO DISAPPOINTED when I found that all my podcasts had been deleted. I haven’t seen a ton of apps that have both audiobooks and podcasts so why cut your target users in half? I will NOT be using Hibooks but I don’t trust that my books won’t get deleted. And why use Hibooks when I could just use Audible or find another app like Otto Radio? You could’ve at least given users a heads up... super disappointed.

No more free public domain books

koda riah

I am a little upset with the most recent update into Hibooks. Before, with Otto, all books under public domain where free to listen to like any of Shakespeare’s works. However now that feature has been taken away which in turn deleted all progress I made on any book in that category. It deleted a book from my library which I was more that half ways done with. Not to mention the search function won’t work on my app anymore. I loved Otto it was one of the very few places you could listen to certain audio book for free, and I am over all disappointed with this update.

Update is not quite there yet

The search function shows no results for me since the update. I like the look. Bugs need to be worked out.

This app is just what I have needed! It’s like Apple Music for audiobooks. Great selection, quick, clear and super easy to navigate the app. THANK YOU!

Bring Back Otto!

Ryan "Slixs"

This should have been a completely separate app instead of leveraging your existing user base to sell your new paid audiobooks model. This has completely eliminated podcasts. I work for a large online tech company and will be recommending an article to be done on this. #baitandswitch

Great app

This app is great. Would be nice if you could suggest book titles not currently on app.

No “reset password “ on mobile app.

I’ve been working with customer service over a week to reset my password or give me a temporary one. There was no problem collecting my Account payment for August but it’s been 2 weeks since I could access my audiobooks. Did Amazon.com buyout OTTO?

Once we were brothers

MAUI dolphin

This is one of the most moving books I have ever read and I wish it was required reading in schools worldwide telling a story first person how the Nazis destroyed everything and everybody In his life. Ben, a courageous survivor is brave, strong, Kind hearted and with such intensely is committed to expose his German born adopted brother Who is homeless and out of kindness, taken in by his family. Later, when the Nazis invaded their Polish village, to save himself, his adopted brother became a districted , murdering Natzi Who turned on Ben and his family Who raised him.Seen from Bens eyes, this story and falls into the most amazing novel I have ever heard and which I’m sure most of it is straight out of a non-fiction story. Beautifully written and very well narrated characters Relate this historical account with authenticity And strength through amazing transitions. Get out your handkerchiefs and ready yourself or an emotional roller coaster ride on the edge of your seat.

Hibooks update review

antoine64

After some seriously aggravating problems at the start with the update, all is now working smoothly and I’m pretty happy. The name change is not good but that’s of no real consequence. The search behaves much better. Navigating the book that is currently playing isn’t intuitive. Meaning that if you are looking at the cover while it’s playing, for example, it’s not obvious how to get to the chapter list, etc. Overall I think it’s a positive change.
