Amazing app for my daughter!

We enjoyed it together with my daughter! The tutorial guides you step by step and you start making amazing crafts!

Not enough info in directions

My little one loved making the birds. However, the directions don’t specify if you need one or more containers of a specific color. Example: the penguin calls for Blue, white, orange and black. It doesn’t tell you if you need on container for the blue body. Also, it should give you a reference to size of balls to make; a “small ball” doesn’t give you enough info. The birds end up looking a tad wonky.

We do not know the code yet

The app is cute, and my son loves it. We have all the Hey Clay apps. But we spent $5 PER APP to unlock content, and now they are ALL locked again. Will not be repurchasing.

Warning - In app purchases for the basics

Not a fan that you have to pay $1 per directions for animal (oh they give you one free because they are so generous). They should have just added it to the price of the clay kit, so it doesn’t seem like they are being so cheap. ?

Disappointed in this

We have been buying these kits for awhile and my kids love them. I do too. The clay is so great to work with, and the instructions are fun and work perfectly. However I am super disappointed and annoyed that all these codes I have from 5 kits do not work. We bought the kits, downloaded the apps, and put the codes into our iPad. Later, we got our kids their own iPads and wanted them to use those for their hey clay. But guess what?! Codes now show an “error invalid code” when I try to re-enter the code. Even the original iPad the apps were on is saying the same. As an experiment, I payed the $5 for all the birds in the birds app on my iPad so my 4 year old can actually use her birthday gift, and it won’t even restore the purchase onto the iPad I want her to use, which it should because of family sharing! Not happy. Even though I really love this toy, this issue with the app purchases really made this super annoying and inconvenient to actually use, and I won’t be buying this as a gift for my nieces and nephews this year as originally planned. My solution? Fix the app so it honors the codes (and the codes specifically say to save them in case you have to update or reload them!) and the in app purchases across the entirety of a family plan that shares an Apple ID, rather than just by device, and I’ll up this to a 5star.

Dissappointed

You get instructions for one bird(pheasant) and then have to buy each additional bird? Was really looking forward to combining hands on art w/ technology for my daughter but this is a huge disappointment. Why bother. Just buy clay and a book for modeling.
