Beautifully choreographed videos amazing recipes!

I bought the Cue several months ago, and unfortunately have not used it much as our lives have been super busy, however...the ease in use, how to videos as you are cooking, the cues to add ingredients, to stir, simmer, turn and sear are helpful! And the ingredients in most recipes are not difficult to find. Every meal I’ve made with the Cue so far has been delicious. Also a fan of sous vide cooking so am happy to see recipes incorporating this method, and even works together with the joule! Awesome!! One suggestion/request: Can you add a bookmark/favorites option to the app for each recipe, so we can easily find the recipes we want to make?

There’s a wide variety of recipes and it’s very easy to navigate. The one thing that could really take this app to eleven would be a way to save and access your favorite recipes.

Bugs and freezing/fixed/fabulous support great food

I wrote the first part of this review several months ago, .... The app freezes on start up. I’ve contacted Hestan Cue and they confirmed that there is a glitch in the system that you get a spinning wheel if there is not a Heston Q cooking system nearby. It makes it impossible to review any of the recipes. I contacted support and they checked on the app, and there was an issue with that version of the app. The bugs were fixed the next couple days and I went ahead downloaded the new app bought the system. 3 Months after buying the system I am writing an update. I had a rough start as as my iPad serial number indicates it's an iPad 2, but it may not be. My iPad would connect inconsistently, and I've had several failed meals. Once we had canned soup and bread for dinner as I couldn't get the system to work. As I put the Chilean Bass back in the refrigerator I contacted support to return the system. They contacted me and asked if I would be interested in a phone call and I said yes. We arranged a date and time. The support person methodically and carefully isolated each iPad iPhone and google tablet to find out where the problem was and which one would work best. I was truly impressed with how methodical he was . I have not had a failed meal since that phone call. (My iPad was the culprit). My iPhone and the google tablet connect every time and I am so pleased with the system. The recipes are exceptional and my husband loves the food. We love fish but I always overcook it but not with the Cue system. I have made exceptional meals with sea bass, I've modified some of the recipes and used grouper and flounder. The meals come out wonderful. I like the App and the way that you can pair sauces with the protein. The sauces are out of this world. My husband has not read any of the reviews but after one of my meals, he and said "this is one of the best meals you have ever cooked", it compares to any restaurant food we have ever had. The system is expensive and I wish there was a extended warranty. May be that is something that Heston Cue could think about offering. What I do know is, there has been a lot of research and background work to create these meals. The recipes are easy to follow and they turn out every time. I am excited that Heston Cue coming up with more recipes. The system has made cooking fun again, and there are a lot less burned meals coming from my kitchen.?

I received this as a gift and couldn’t be happier. The app provides a huge variety of recipes and they always come out great with the help of the smart pan! It makes food mindless and delicious every time. Highly recommend, very worth it!

High Quality Cookware

The cookware was worth the money. High quality pan made of stainless steel. You can use metal utensils without scratching it. Unfortunately, you can’t use it in the dishwasher. There are countless recipes in the app and they have all come out perfectly. I have had some connectivity issues and discovered some app bugs, but the customer support has always been very helpful and gets me back cooking ASAP. I would recommend this product to anyone who likes cooking and making delicious meals.

I can connect to the cooktop and Pan, start the app but when it comes time to cook, nothing happens. Don’t know if it’s their latest firmware or app, but this is an expensive piece of garbage. Going back to using a real stove.

I never write reviews on the App Store but the Hestan Che truly deserves it. I have never been that good at cooking but ever since I got the Cue for Christmas, I just can’t stop cooking at home and the results are truly delicious

Almost perfect—Five stars except for. . .

. . . When the app crashes. This system is not a gimmick or ploy, it’s the real deal. The recipes are excellent, the instructions clear and easy to follow. The temperatures it sets are perfect for the steps involved in the recipes selected. Almost every meal I have cooked with it has been prepared to perfection, and I am quite experienced and skilled in the kitchen. If you have kitchen skills, this will step up your game, and if you don’t it will give you game. The only reason I haven’t given the app and the Hestan Cue cooking system 5 stars is that the app can crash, and if it does there is no simple recovery path. This is a serious problem if the app crashes during the cooking phase of a steak or pork chop, because while you can restart and skip ahead to that step, the timer is reset to the beginning. In fact, the ONLY dishes that did not turn out absolutely cooked to perfection were those I had to restart the process on, because of the notable lack of a reliable recovery procedure. You can advance to the stage it crashed on, buut then must guess at the right point to interrupt and start over, because letting it run the full cycle will overcook the dish. I would recommend the Hestan Cue system and app for anybody, because when it works, it works like no other kitchen tool on the market, but would caution anybody to be wary off app crashes and the possibility that the app may leave you in the lurch mid-cooking if the application happens to crash. If the company manages to solve the crash and recovery problem, this is a five star product that’s missing only additional recipes and a way to create new ones. I am optimistic that the company will be expanding its recipe book, and hopeful that they will address the “what if the app is interrupted in the middle?” Problem. Those are the only things holding the Hestan Cue cooking system back from being the greatest cooking system on the market.
