I think it's great

Panchobamba

Plenty of content. Includes scenario editor. Lots of difficulty levels with a challenging AI as you move up. Fun mechanics of gameplay with cards, limited amount of units to strategically order per turn, line of sight. Great in-game wiki. I first thought unit info was too small but there's a green & white info icon in upper right corner that looks overlayed with junk like other reviewer mentioned but just tap the icon - works fine and basic unit info is easy to read. Crashed once on iPad 4 , but opened with no loss of turn. One suggestion - give yourself plenty of time to use editor as that doesn't save until completely designed and ready to play.

Very good game

I was a little skeptical when I first bought this game due to a lot of bad reviews. But I was quite relived when I began playing and haven't had to many issues with it. I think it is a Great War and strategy game and would recommend it to anyone who loves board games and war games

Great game. Disappointed in sexism.

TinkerLane

Honestly this a bit of a protest review. I'm really enjoying the game. There's some blatantly and unnecessarily sexist dialog in the final tutorial mission though. If that gets changed in an update my rating goes to 5 stars. I Facebook messaged you guys about it as well.

Fantastic game!!

Master Gamer 6969

Great sound, graphics and gameplay. I really loved the in depth tutorial. It took me step by step teaching me the basics of gameplay. There's a full wiki so that you can look up anything you didn't quite understand. This game is one of those easy to play a little harder to master games. There are four or five difficulty levels so really anyone can play and have a great time. The graphics and sounds are fantastic and there's a nice touch of humor too. Three campaigns, a rogue mode, and a full game editor round out this very full featured game. Bravo!

Outstanding

There are a number of standouts about this conversion from the cardboard version 1. It's not a 'straight port' a lot of work has been put into the look and feel. It is a very dynamic looking UI 2. The plethora of modes available: Campaign, online play, rogue-mode, map editor, build and army. All very nice 3. The incremental tutorial in the campaign. Adding new features as you work along. Point 3 brings me to an important point. I thought there was a complete absence of some cardboard version features until they were revealed later on in the campaign. Opportunity Fire and Smoke is present, just not at the beginning. This is the most fun I've had with a board game port since Carcassonne 'back in the day'

Reminds me of tabletop COH

Eudiphon

Reading through the gameplay performance issues, I had some doubts about the performance of this game on my iPad Mini 3. No issues so far while playing. Very smooth. The gameplay reminds me almost of a tabletop Company of Heroes. At least, if I had to translate COH mechanics of cover and rock, paper, scissors type countering into a board game.

I hate being a beta tester

Grognard Lad

Freezes when you use two armored vehicles in a row. Won't let you use self-ordering units after all ordered units finished. Really expensive for unfinished game

Update made it better

Bigdaddy87

This is a fun adaptation of the board game. Only problem is my completed campaigns are not carried over to my phone from my iPad and vice versa.

Not really phone ready

g0omba

Don't count on being able to read the text with the iPhone 6/s, the screen is too small. They could afford to make the text bigger

Almost there - needs another bug fix

Happy :) :) :)

This is a great game, and I have really enjoyed it, but there are still a few frustrating bugs. I have gotten to the final scenario of the U.S. Roguelike Campaign, and after I set everything up, the Ai starts to draw its cards, but then just sits there. The "Ai Cards Phase" never ends. I abandon the mission, then hit continue and it goes right back to the Ai Cards Phase. I've also had trouble with vehicles being placed just off the map and not being able to select the vehicle. Also, after my Marvin set was hit, his card now messes up the rest of the cards on the purchase screen (all jumbled up and unable to equip). Hope these bugs will be fixed in the next update.
