Worth the money!

I have already put 20 days and 18 hours into this game. The final boss is hard to beat, it took me about 15 hours. Highly recommended.

Meh

It would be 5/5 if you didn't have to grind the hell out of it. Seriously, the game gets ridiculously hard early on and you have to grind the levels. Even then, it's still difficult. Besides that, a good game. Oh and the in game stuff like potions and defense stuff costs way to much gold. You get like 30 gold per battle and stuff costs like 200 right out of the gate.

Finally an app I love!

This game has it all - match three, turn-based RPG action, wonderful storyline, and cute chibi characters to boot. I looked long and hard for an app game as captivating as this. AND it's a pay-once-and-play game with no annoying waiting periods or limitations. Can't wait for Heatpot's next app!

Best concept

This game combines the elements of a turn-based rpg and a match game. I like it a lot. They sooooooo need to make a sequel.

Good game but not really for casual players.

This is a good game. It could be a great game, but there are a few flaws that are hard to overlook. The main one is the you're often dealing with the unknown. The game doesn't give any hints, and this means you'll spend time replaying dungeon levels until you get enough information through trial and error to finally pick the right skills to beat the boss. This can be quite frustrating for casual players as you'll be progressing just fine, then come upon the final boss and bam, you're dead! Simply because you went into battle with the ice skill equipped and not the fire one. There's no way to adjust your skills during a level, so you're toast and need to replay again from the beginning of that level. A second flaw is how you obtain skills and emblems. Some are only obtainable through advanced skill stealing, and this isn't hinted at anywhere in the text. You have to follow a walkthrough in order to know ahead of time, otherwise that skill or emblem is lost to your crew forever. That feels very unfair and can be brual for your team. You will also do a fair bit of grinding in this game, especially towards the end. Emblems, needed to progress to the next level to beat the boss, are sometimes only available in high cost shops, so you'll need to replay older dungeons (minus the now-beaten final boss) in order to gain enough gold to purchase them. Otherwise, this is a fun and innovative approach to match-3 puzzle goodness. Kudos for no IAP, even with the grinding needed to achieve some leveling. No advertising either. Just good puzzle gaming for mid-to-advanced players. I orginally played this to level 6 emblems, whereupon I got stuck because I couldn't get a couple of the emblems due to not knowing ahead of time that I needed to use a heist spell on the boss at the right moment. I was finding it impossible to advance, and it was so frustrating that I quit. I have returned to the game after a lengthy absense and finally finished the main story. There was a lot of luck involved in the final battle, which was a bit disappointing. I'm not sure I'll attempt the advanced level 10 emblems content, because those dungeons are described as brutal. I'm not in this for the difficulty but the fun, and when the new content is described as soul crushingly hard it's a turn-off for me. Finally, iCloud sync has never worked for me and my devices. That's too bad as I'd like to just delete this game yet keep the save game around in case I decide to come back to it later. Doesn't seem like that's going to happen!

~Almost perfect blend~

Despite the act that the story has its flaws and the characters seem to pick on the blonde haired girl--it is an entertaining mix of Bejeweled--(sadly there are so many sucky copies of it on the App Store) and leveling up/role playing elements. It actually is an excellent mix which could have been amazing... but is still excellent. Truly worth it especially if gotten at a lower price range. You can play it for minutes/hours. Generic story which lack substance and boring characters; charming art though and great concept/execution for the most part.

So good!

Alternate endings and hidden challenges/equipment makes this game very amazing! Please please update the story so it can continue!

Very Impressive!

I love the concept. Combining a match game with an RPG is a lot of fun. Please make a sequel.

Good but Unforgiving

Casual gamers need not apply. I miss the days when there was a place in gaming for those who were more than casual but not quite as intense or skilled as hardcore. Those days have clearly passed. This puzzler is easy-to-learn, difficult-to-master and comes with a story and lots of challenges to keep you busy for a while. Expect to repeat the same levels dozens of times, though... grinding is the name of the game. No shortcuts here. Overall, I'm glad I have the game. Mostly I'm just frustrated because I'm sick of the hardcore grindfest.

Awesome game!!
