Seriously entertaining

A wargamer's fantasy game Many aspects of other titles by Slitherine, with awesome unique aspects Such as unit types are diverse and colorful and the game rewards you for aggressive tactics The current version is a little buggy and it has frozen a few times on me, but I am confident this will be resolved with a patch and the game is so good it doesn't bother me

Fantastic
momoishere

As long as Slitherine keeps making games based on the Battle Academy engine I will keep buying them. Another great game. Although I prefer historical war games I do like the fantasy setting of this one. Lots of diverse units and special attacks keeps things interesting.

Very fun and challenging
JPJNCs

This game uses the battle academy scheme, but it's fantasy instead of ww2. It works great. I thought battle academy was just so so, but this game is simple, challenging, and a lot of fun. I hope they add to it in the future

Outstanding Strategy Game
SadCoolWhip

This game really surprised me. I wasn’t sure how well the Battle Academy engine would transfer outside of WW2. Slitherine knocked this one out of the park. As with Battle Academy and Panzer Corps, it puts all the polish and features you expect of a full scale PC strategy game on your iPad. The fantasy theme, story and units are wonderful. The battles are balanced, clever and fun. Very good replay value too. This one will stay on my iPad a very long time. Highly recommended I would love to see Slitherine port their fantastic Drums of War PC game over to the iPad next.

Crash issues
Warcats

This would be another triumph for Slitherine if not for crash issues on the ipadpro. This is too good a game not to patch. Let's hope they do. The engine is much like other titles from this company as with the superb Battle Academy. For a pure strategy battle game HELL has no peers that I have found yet. Made it all the way to level 7 then it continually locked up. Broke my heart.

Good graphics and UI
Eriptron

Update: Good example why you put your game help IN THE GAME...their online help isn't responding. Also, put the help in s PDF. Going back to Planar Conquest. ---------- The game has very good graphics and a zoom that gets you down and into the action of the board game. And their is a lot of action but... ...that's pretty much where it stops for me. It's the same old formula. Overrun you with bad guys to affect game difficulty instead of designing tactical flexibility into it. Game board squares are also designed to limit where you can move even when there isn't anything there to prevent moving there. That you do in 'tower' board game design and not a tactical strategy games.

What a waist of money

I had high hopes for the game. Graphics looked great, but that is the only good thing I can say about the game. Game play is cumbersome, and the tutorial is worthless.
