This is truly a great and fun game to play. I have been enjoying it for a couple of years now and play a few games every day.

I believe in supporting programmers who create good apps so I purchased it, besides which I find the ads annoying, and at best, distracting. I enjoy a challenge so I play it on "hard," and I find the game enjoyable. I play frequently. However I have yet to shoot the moon. I agree with other reviews that the player icons are a bit cartoon-y. I would like to see them like those in the older Hoyle games in which they speak, are animated, and I can select from a choice of players. It appears that some reviews do not even apply to this game. Odd.
Beware: this game is addictive!

Like it a lot. Three suggestions: Allow someone who shoots the moon to EITHER add 26 to opponents scores OR remove 26 from his/her own score (as many games are played that way). Also, provide an option not to see how many points each player gets during a hand (since one rarely has that option when playing with a deck of cards -- makes it more real). And, have the computer play out the hand quickly by itself once all points are played.

I decided to purchase the app today because the ads on the free version were totally annoying and slowing play. I expected the speeds to pick up when I actually paid for the app. Even when I go to the settings and put the speed of the hands on Fast, it moves at a turtles pace. This is so disappointing and did not happen on the free version. The free version was slowed by some of the ads below the hands, but did speed up when the ads dropped off for a bit. No ads now, but moving at a snails pace!

This is a no frills app. Very reliable but boring graphics. It would be more fun if you could change things up. The characters are so nerdy that I don't want anyone to see what I am playing. All in all, I still play because l like the game.
