With the pulse ox this app said I had, I would be dead. I compared this to a regular one at the Er to have a basis to relate to. Needs correcting

bad app

this app is not working! I get a heart rate of 30-35 which I know is baloney, I would probably be dead. every time the Spo2 is 96.7 or 96.9. I just got out of the hospital and I know what my readings are. Plus it takes 30 secondsfor results, that is way too long. 15 seconds for professional machines. Plus i already have a heart rate app I depend on. I was mainly wanting an app for the Spo2

Bad bugs

I accidentally wasted $.99 on this. Saying my BPM is 30-35. But my actual heart rate monitor is showing 110-125. I got this to measure my SPo2 because I had a massive asthmatic bronchitis flare up and I was measuring 92% at the ER. This app is showing 95% SPo2, but I was at 98% when I was discharged 30 minutes before. Don’t waste money until the bugs are fixed!

Compared to electronic devices costing $50-$85 at a drugstore, this is equivalent. So save your money and get this for 99 cents. The ones given to patients and paid for by the health insurance plans rarely exceed the quality of the drugstore units. Low-end professional units ($250-$500) are better, but more expensive. The pulse-oximeter in my office is even more expensive, but also not infallible, and also not a substitute for a for a for Arterial Blood Gases by the laboratory when one is dealing with a sick patient. Even if you are a STABLE patient with COPD, the timeline feature might be useful to provide early warning that you might want to see the doctor and have the thousand dollar pulse oximeter employed. In short, for a phone app to be used by basically health patients who desire to monitor the effects of smoke, dust, air pollution, overeating and alcohol upon their health, this is good. Caveat: does not link to the iPhone’s Health App. That is a major drawback, and needs to be fixed urgently.
