The applications detects how the colour of your finger changes when blood flows into it. Similar to the way that a medical pulse oximeter works.
Please note, this app is intended to be used for fun only and should not be used for any medical purposes.
switching between 38 and 120 or asking to put finger on that I did. junk.
Love the new update of heart zone. Works great!!! Great job with this app. My all time fav :)
This app is actually somewhat accurate. I checked it's results against a pulse oximeter at work and although it bounced around a bit it was still around the 75 range where I was sitting at on the pulse ox. The rhythm it shows at the bottom is just for looks though. That's not accurate at all.
Not a good app if you are using for workouts. I was doing interval training and in the middle of my intervals I took my HR and it was in the 90s when I was probably near 155. Junk.
I have a heart condition that cause my resting pulse rate to be a "normal" 120. This app jumps around between 50-70. Simply not possible. Not the least bit accurate
I just tried this for a minute but found it to be very accurate by holding one finger over the camera like it says and taking my real pulse at my neck with my other hand. The top green dot lit up every time I felt a beat and when it got off slightly, it would quickly fix itself to be right back on. It worked for me!
With my anxiety It calms me down to see my heartrate isn't actually through the roof! Great app
This app is so accurate! The downward waveform is each heartbeat. The height/width represents the strength of the contraction. I personally have a normal "sinus arrhythmia" which is an athletic heart. I was checking my pulse as I watched the wave. VERY accurate! Worth every free penny! Thank-you!
