Fatal glitch?

I had this game a while back and decided to start playing it again. However, not even after the tutorial is finished I'm supposed to equip something to a monster called "Twiggy" and I can't do anything with it. All I can do is close the app. Would love to continue playing, but I can't when there's a problem like this.

Never played this game before. Booted it up. Got a message about my device exceeding the registration limit, and couldn't do anything that would actually enable me to play. So much for that.
