WORST HAWAII NEWS APP

HNN is my favorite news channel but you guys have the WORST app. Since I’ve downloaded it, I will always get notifications but as soon as I click the notification, it will take me to the app but then the story I clicked on disappears and is nowhere to be found in the app. It’s the worst. It also was like that for my boyfriend & my mom when they used the app. We all ended up deleting it & now have the KHON app now. Please fix this problem & I will gladly download the app again. Until then KHON it is.

The app hasn’t ever worked as far as news alerts. When I click on them I am not taken to the article because it doesn’t exist. Just a webpage for live broadcasts which doesn’t show any actual live broadcasts. Lately, when I click play to watch a news video, it will play the ad fine but then the news clip starts with no sound. So frustrating.

This app used to be great about release notifications that really mattered but lately hnn has become ratings trolls releasing some cheap garbage news update 5 minutes before their broadcast to try and make you tune in. Get another app and save the frustration

The full page ads are annoying. The little banners on the bottom should be enough. Every time I open this app the full page ad shows first before I see any news. I use this app mostly for traffic alerts, which are really helpful.

Buggy

This app is so buggy it opens up in safari rather than the app. Developers need to overhaul this app. I get my news from the Honolulu Star and KITV4

No Access

Was a great app until recently. Now getting error message cannot access server. Hope it's fixed soon!

I see your 'developers' are taking a cue from Google with the 'if it's not broken, break it' approach to upgrading. New version is a hot clunky mess and much LESS streamlined (in function and UI) than the prior version. There's a difference between 'elegant' and 'cluttered', you know? In this case, less is definitely more-and BETTER (in reference to the former version). Please consider changing it back. We'd totally understand your decision to do so. ;)

Horrible Update!

Wish you left well enough alone. Everything was just fine the way it was. Now, your new layout looks too busy - everything is cramped in - making things harder to read. The text is too small. It's difficult to navigate - don't know where the local news was. Looks like I will have to find another news app - if this version does not improve. I hate to say it; but, the entire layout looks like the results of an intern graphic designer.

It's like this app when 99 steps backwards! Not only is the new layout buggy as heck but 80% of the time I can't even get on. It's like the app is just refusing to launch. I gotta clear the app about 5x and sometimes that still doesn't work. I'm approximately a day away from deleting this app. It's annoying.
