This is a great app! No frills rated games with multiple time control options and increments. The board layout is good as well and someone is always available to play. Get this if you like chess.
Even if this cost, it would still get a good rating from me. Nothing real fancy but it gives a fast and stable connection to the FICS site, where you can concentrate on your game. See you there!
The best free fics client last time i checked. Simple and solid interface. Great all around. Coulda been five star if not for occasional crashing and no way to resume games
It s free so i cant complain... But there is no option to resume upon disconnection... Which with mobile devices playing over the internet is kind of common. Get that feature and it s a 5 star app that does its job very well!
i've tried every fics chess app available (magnus online chess, cyberchess, chess-wise, etc.) and this app beats them all. it is the only app currently available that provides a smooth and reliable fics connection. thanks
I've tried all of the FICS compatible apps and this is by far the best one. Simple interface and it's free. Can't beat it
What this game lacks in aesthetics it makes up for in convenience and performance.
Handy Chess is a superb client for playing on the Free Internet Chess Server. It doesn't have every feature of a desktop client, but for playing basic blitz games it gets it right by keeping it simple and having nice chess pieces!
