Great and simple UI even for beginners

Great app. Easy to use

Subscription? No way!

Gadget Guru

I paid for this app in the beginning. Now they want me to pay again or no more updates! They want a monthly subscription. There is also an optional one time fee, but I refuse to pay it because who knows how long the “one time fee” will last until they cut me off (again). By the way, their competitor (the Obscura app) is a much more user-friendly interface. Oh, and please don’t cut-n-paste your canned response of “We understand your frustration…” it’s annoying and shows your lack of respect to your original loyal customers.

Good but lacks long exposure feature.

Mainefamilydoc

Was surprised to find another app or the native Camera app needed for long exposures. At this price, am disappointed to need to buy and learn another app for that.

Click Bait

elcpu

This app may be very good but it is click bait. It is shown as free with in-app purchases but it will cost you $50 after the 7 day “free” trial.

Easily the best camera app.

Easily the best camera app.

Cannot Airdrop any more

nutella_98

After about a year or so I have reinstalled this app again and shot a few raw images. They no longer can be transferred to my Mac via Airdrop (from the app). When I tap on the Airdrop icon of the selected computer to transfer to (DNG), the Airdrop window just disapperas all of a sudden and nothing happens. Just installed the app less than 5 minutes ago on a previously clean installed phone, so I don't see any reason to reinstall it (as support usually suggests). Rebooted the phone, same issuse. This used to work before, now it's unusable. iPhone 7 iOS 14.8.1

See you later (maybe not)

Sad to see this app go to subscription. I realized I’m not using it enough to be worth to pay for it again and again. I would have paid for an upgrade, but the cost is too large to make sense for my usage. Good luck with your rich super users .

Unreliable

jmvdigital

So far, over the course of using it several weeks intermittently, it’s not at all reliable. Taking a photo is 50/50 on whether it actually saves the photo to the camera roll. Most of the time taking a photo seems to crash the app. It hangs indefinitely while trying to display the last photo, or comes up with an error that it couldn’t save it, or does nothing and you don’t realize the photo never saved until it’s too late. Pretty useless in that regard.

Buggy

CHRISVALLEQATSI

Doesn't run consistently on my 12 Pro Max: freezes, crashes & fails to save photos. I almost never have an error-free experience. Halide has great features, but poor architecture.

Subscription is worst

App is good. I like it. Quality of the picture is great. But I don’t like to pay for every monthly or yearly.
