All these years I’ve had this app I didn’t realize how inaccurate it was until I took my guitars to a tech and he used a digital tuner. I had thought my intonation was off on all guitars, because this app rendered wild variations at the 12th fret. Still has scales and a chord library, but the tuner is now worthless to me. Too bad because I loved the alternate tunings feature. Now I do it all digitally. If you want to stick with apps, insTuner is very accurate, even at the 12th fret.

...not any more. App hasn't improved since I first bought it in 2005(?). Many others (like Tunfor) for example let you select which string you're trying to tune and work toward that specific goal. This app's tuner just flits between maxed high and low without telling you which way to go to get to a particular goal. Basically you have to already be in tune for it to work.

For some reason, this app can not display a double sharp, so certain commonly used chords, like E7(#9), will tell you that the #9 is a G instead of an F## (or Fx). G is a b10 away from E, so their lack of a common naming convention could really confuse someone who is using this app to learn. Not expecting them to fix this, since there hasn’t been an update for two years.

Unbelievable, I used this app for several months to tune all my stringed instruments and one day it just stopped working. I tried everything to get it to work to the point of enlisting my children to see if they could help me out with no luck. Then in a last ditch effort I paid the 5.99 to update it thinking that must be the problem, it still doesn’t work. So basically the people who have received my 5.99 just scammed me. Whatever you do don’t buy it, it’s a scam. I also discovered that it hasn’t been updated in over 2 years so obviously the developers have also given up on it.

I love this app. The only issue I have is the share chord sheet function isn’t working. I paid for the upgrade and all works great but I can only print a chord sheet. The feature to share as a pdf or GuitarToolkit file is missing.

I actually like the app, not for the tuner, but for the chord builder .... but every time I get a new phone it asks for my wife’s iTunes password. She bought it 10 yrs or so back and we shared it somehow. I’ve paid for it on my account twice now, just upgraded my iPhone and it won’t install. Enough already.

I like this app a lot. It does what I need which is mostly to be able to press notes on the neck and see the name of the chord. Love that function. It actually does everything very well but I can not give it five stars because it has not yet been optimized for the new iPhones. It looks cheap and the developers need to sit down and make it look and function well on the new phones that don’t have a home button and have a notch at the top and for iOS 12.4. It looks modern and super awesome one the Android and dominates the field on that side. But not so much here which is a shame.
