Edit: I deleted and reinstalled and it's working fine now! The app is great but the update is causing a crash on startup.

A nice guide with a great combo creation tool

This is a nice little move list for the game that is handy to have instead of pausing the game all the time. A couple of the moves are not 100% correct but not a huge deal. It is worth it to be able to save custom combos and pull them up so I can practice them. Complicated button combos are sometimes hard to remember and you can enter notes for timing tips or variations. Overall it does what I need. I especially like that you can change the button notations between Xbox, play station, and standard mortal kombat format and you can force the screen to stay on when the app is open.

*Crashed on 1.4 update but I reinstalled and it is fine now. There are tons of free apps, but you get what you pay for here. This app is thorough, easy to use, and best of all - it’s correct, unlike others. Grab this now! Update: Version 1.4 adds Kustom Kombo and it is a fantastic feature! You will never forget your sick combos!

THE BEST MKX GUIDE!!

This is by far the best MKX guide. Selecting by variation and having all moves there is awesome and so fast. The "kombo kreator" is a very nice tool so I can store all my custom combos. And I can also pick my button config? What else could you ask for get this app!!

If you're playing Mortal Kombat then you should def get this. Easy to use and helpful. I saw someone mentioned that there weren't any brutalities but they are def in there along with the requirements.

This app is overall great! I love how it displays all the combos and stays on so I can look in the middle of a fight. There is just one problem, every time I try to make a Kustom Kombo it crashes. I've tried for every character and it still crashes. If that can be fixed I'll be happy!

Hey Andrew, you should add a quick option to switch sides, because as of now the combos work only if you're facing towards the right. I know we could add our own kombos, but it would add value to your app if you would input combo strings for each character, instead of searching through forums, videos, and whatnot. There was a MK9 Mini Guide by HoloGamma that isn't in the App Store anymore but was very well made and had a wide range of options including tips. Trust me your app will become more popular. You're on the right track!

This app is truly a godsend! 1st: The UI design/Interface - clean, professional. Very well thought out. 2nd: The Dev is HIGHLY active on the forums. Check out the developer site in the app front page. (Scroll down) It will link you to the testyourmight (tym) forums. Engage directly with him there. And keep in mind, this is not a big company. This is just a guy who has love for the FGC (Fighting Game Community) that so happens to know how to code. So, bear that in mind when you get frustrated with a bug or misspelling. This guy is doing this on his own. NOW ON TO THE GOOD STUFF: This app is not only for storing your combos... It moves beyond that. Stores your notes (within every character profile there is a note box) Here in this notebox you can store matchup knowledge. For example: Liu Kang, when we are in a neutral situation, he'll throw out that fast crouching leg kick repeatedly, (so he can catch me, and get a combo started. The + on that kick is big. I forget, when using different characters, which of their neutral (or special) attacks can overcome this. Well, now I can respond & counter swiftly thanks to my mind being refreshed via the notebox. Also, block strings so you may start blocking off certain combo strings that are usually tough. Have your opponent stuck on stupid as he's wondering how the hell you're blocking those combo strings with ease. This is just a small taste of what this baby can be used for. A true toolbox for the carpenter trying to master his art! I STRONGLY recommend this app for those whom are serious about learning this game past the casual and intermediate levels.
