I'll start by telling a brief story; I never - ever - wore a 'label,' i.e. some company, or designer's name which was visible on me. I'm not paying to be a walking billboard. I do like, & wear very nice clothes. One jacket I have looks to the world as a simple, grey (flannel) baseball jacket. There's no label anywhere visible. It's a simple, elegant classic, which never goes out of style. That jacket cost over $1000 - in the early 90's. In all the years I've owned it, I've only twice had people come up to me and knew who made the jacket. I say this, not to 'brag,' but, to make a point: many people have insecurities 'bout themselves, & feel that if they swath themselves in a 'designers' name, it gives them instant 'credibility.' In certain - shallow - crowds, it does. Imagine someone today in 2015, walking down the street in their (1980's) 'designer' jeans - their Sergio Valente's, or Sasson, or any other. They'd look dated. They'd be laughed at. Not so with classic clothes. Next, let me briefly talk about advertising; It's been proven in various studies that people - no matter how young, no matter their remote geographic location - can almost ALWAYS identify various corporate logos, i.e., McDonald's arches, or Mercedes trident. At the same time, these people know very little 'important' things like: 'where's Bora-Bora? When did the Roman Empire fall? When was WW1 fought?' Now, let me - VERY BRIEFLY - put my two cents in 'bout this; the ONLY thing which WILL help make ANYONE 'rich,' (if that's your shallow goal) is EDUCATION - going to school. Knowing a corporation's logo, mascot, etc., won't do anything for you, but, in all probability, WILL do something for them; help THEM sell more product. If after reading this, you still don't get it,' then this 'game' - or, more accurately - this MARKETING tool is perfect for you - and very, VERY sad as well.
